Know what 54-year-old designer Donna Karan loves? “Music, DJin’, dancing, partys going out!” She’s also a fan of “just having a laugh and having it easy no worries!” Or so says the most recent issue of Women’s Wear Daily parody WWWD.
In their Man Issue, released this week, WWWD delves into deep issues ranging from the size of Shia LaBeouf’s package (“beyond inadequate,” for the record), to whether or not rappers Pharell Williams and Kanye West are super into each other in the biblical sense. And he’s not the only one who wishes Michelle would stop favoring young designers… Keep reading »
So many fashion shows, so little time. This weekend there were even more runway runaways, with everyone from Diane Von Furstenberg (one of our overall favorites — I am even wearing a thrifted dress of hers today) to William Rast (that’s Justin Timberlake’s clothing line) showing in NYC. After the jump, are some of our favorite looks from Herve Leger (known for his bandage-style dresses), DVF, and Donna Karan’s sportswear line, DKNY. Keep reading »
There’s one thing Donna Karan, Louis Vuitton, Christian LaCroix, and Alexander McQueen agree on for spring: fabulous full skirts. While high-waisted jeans may still cause us to cringe at the mom factor, high-waisted skirts can make any woman look like a pin-up girl. Since the feminine silhouette of the skirt naturally blossoms at the bottom, it accentuates your waist and can even create one for boyishly figured types. It’s not magic, it’s just plain old-fashioned fashion. Five we really love, after the jump…
