A week before she went to jail, Lindsay Lohan did an interview and photo shoot with Vanity Fair. Now, Lohan’s sultry cover is out just days after she has been released from rehab. Well-timed, Lohan. Well-timed.
Her spiel, the blog Styleite noted, is “typical Lindsay. Denial, denial, denial.” Everything you think you know about her is wrong! Lindsay is not an alcoholic, she says, because her putting on her alcohol-monitoring SCRAM bracelet “would have ended me up in detox, in the emergency room, because I would have had to come down from all the things that people say I’m taking and my father says I’m taking.” Lindsay’s not a drug addict either, she insists. “I’ve never abused prescription drugs. I never have—never in my life,” she said. “I have no desire to. That’s not who I am.” Keep reading »
“I have sympathy for Dina Lohan right now. In fact, I feel bad for any parent whose child is in jail—it can be really tough. Those days when Paris was in jail were some of the most difficult of my life—it is hard for any parent to deal with. Unfortunately, if you do not follow the rules then this is what can happen—it’s part of the rules of our society. I think Lindsay will learn from this experience though. To be in a small cage like that by yourself certainly gives you time to think about things.”

You might have thought when Lindsay Lohan got locked up, we’d be granted a reprieve from her 24/7 news coverage. Haha, no. Tracking LiLo’s day-to-day goings-on is just as breathless when she’s in jail as when she’s posing in the nude. Fortunately for those of us who couldn’t care less about her jailhouse dinner menu, Lindsay may only serve two weeks of her 90-day sentence as prisoner #24097527.
So, what have Lindsay’s first days of jail been like? They’ve included painkillers (maybe), cold cereal and visits from her mom and sis. Keep reading »
“The last thing I wanted in the world was for my daughter to go to jail. Any kind of jail is harsh, especially for a young lady like Lindsay. I’ve been there myself and I know that jail didn’t do anything for me with my addictions. … She needs help, she needs rehab. If Lindsay and Lindsay’s lawyer had just listened to [myself and Dr. Drew], she would have been in rehab and been on her way to being clean and sober. Instead, she got jail.”
“This is so not fair to do this to my child.”

Dina Lohan was nearly arrested last weekend for trying to steal a Carvel ice cream cake. Apparently, Lindsay‘s mom was getting the cake for her son’s 14th birthday and tried to use her daughter Ali‘s black “free ice cream for life” card. When the shop employee asked for an ID, they both went ballistic at each other and somehow the situation required police helicopters? When the cops showed up, the guy refused to give Dina her card back and Dina refused to pay for the cake. Dina told reporters, “It just shows how we get treated so much worse than regular people.” To which I offer a loud and hearty guffaw. Is it that hard to just pay for the damn cake? [Celebitchy]
She’s not the only “celeb” caught doing something ridiculous. We’ve rounded up a few comrades for her. Keep reading »
The sad Lindsay Lohan story just keeps getting sadder: according to her Twitter feed, Father of the Year Michael Lohan stormed Lindsay’s Los Angeles apartment with sheriffs this morning trying to either stage an intervention or “rescue” her 16-year-old sister, Ali Lohan. Resourcefully, Lindsay chronicled the whole drama live as it was happening:
“my lawyer isn’t answering I NEED A RESTRAINING ORDER! MY SISTER AND FRIEND TOO!!!!! HE’S NUTS!!!” my BUILDING didn’t STOP him, isn’t it supposed to be safe? THAT’S WHY I MOVED HERE! it coulda been FAKE cops! dressed up… let’s not forget, that my father KIDNAPPED me from a COURT ROOM when i was 4 years old and is CRAZY.”
