Attention “Dexter” fans! While you discuss the merits of the show’s possible incestuous love story between our favorite serial killer and his sister, Deb, have a drink! And then set it down on one of these blood spattered coasters in homage to Dexter’s many victims. After all, don’t cup rings on the furniture make you stabby? [$19.99, Think Geek]

12 Examples Of Not-Totally-Repulsive Incestuous Relationships In Pop Culture

Hey, did you watch “Dexter” on last night? Well, I won’t give anything away about the search for the Doomsday Killer or Colin Hanks’ constipated acting technique, but consider this a SPOILER ALERT about an out-of-nowhere possible subplot for the series. On last night’s episode, Debra Morgan’s therapist — who I was kind of hoping might end up igniting some latent lesbian fantasies for our favorite foul-mouthed Lieutenant — suggests that Deb is hot for Dexter. Dexter, of course, is Deb’s brother, though they are not related by blood. While initially pissed off by the suggestion, she starts to, well, entertain the thought that her shrink may be right. Seriously … is “Dexter” really going to go there?!  Keep reading »

I’m a big fan of “Dexter” and love anything that references the show, creepy serial killers or vengeful murders. Yes, I’m kind of weird. So when I stumbled on this recipe to make candy blood slides similar to the ones Dexter uses to catalog his victims, well, I was thrilled to death. Get it? [Forkable]

Casey Anthony: Dexter’s Next Victim?

When Casey Anthony was acquitted of murdering her two-year-old daughter Caylee last week, the internet reacted in a multitude of ways. Outrage on Twitter! Video montages of Nancy Grace’s reaction! And now, hypothesizing that Casey would be Dexter Morgan’s next victim. Dexter, of course, is the serial killer protagonist of the hit HBO Showtime show of the same name, who manages to be a “good guy” because he kills killers. Dexter often delights in the justice system “failing,” per se, because that means he gets to take justice into his own hands — hence this video imagining what his reaction would be to Anthony’s acquittal. Assuming, of course, that Dexter would believe that she’s guilty — his version of proof of guilt is often different than what would convince a jury. Keep reading »

Julia Stiles Says She Isn’t A Homewrecker

“I have absolutely nothing to do with the split between Michael and Jennifer. We are good friends and enjoyed working together. This is a personal matter between them, and we should respect their privacy. Although I too prefer to keep my private life private—I felt compelled to dispel the rumors I was somehow the cause for this matter.”

Julia Stiles, on the rumor that she was responsible for the breakup of her “Dexter” co-star Michael C. Hall’s marriage to Jennifer Carpenter after just two years. [Dlisted] Keep reading »

Unlikely Style Inspiration: Dexter Morgan’s Murderin’ Outfit

I love the show “Dexter.” Probably to an unhealthy degree. For example, I spend approximately 30 percent of my workday sitting at my desk daydreaming about my friendships with the characters on the show. When my brothers and I took a trip to Florida this summer, we sneaked into the apartment complex where Dexter the character lives, claiming we were visiting our friend “Sheila,” before taking a bunch of awkward photos, giggling like schoolgirls and booking it out of there. And when the show introduced a wretched new character in season 2, I hated her so much that I actually burst into tears one night while brushing my teeth. My boyfriend was confused, to say the least.

I could go on forever about all the reasons I think this show is awesome, but for the purposes of this post, let me just say that one of the my favorite things about it is the styling. I love the bright Miami colors and the distinct personal style of each character. Dexter always wears the same outfit when he’s in serial killer mode, so I thought in honor of Halloween weekend and my general obsession, I’d assemble a little inspiration board of how to get this look. First Look: “Dexter” Season 5

The first promo for the fifth season of “Dexter” was shown at Comic-Con this weekend in San Diego and, damn, does it look like it’s going to be crazy. In the aftermath of Rita’s death, Dexter arouses Quinn’s suspicions, Aster and Cody’s heartbroken rage, and his own first feelings of … guilt? Cannot wait for this show to come back at the end of September. Keep reading »

Quotable: Julie Benz Is Still Mourning The Death Of Her Fictional Character

“My first reaction was, ‘You’re killing the mother of the show! You’re killing the woman who’s suffered more violence than anybody!’ She suffered more violence than Dexter ever suffered. Dexter witnessed the death of his mother, but he didn’t suffer any physical violence. Rita was beaten and raped by an ex-husband on a regular basis, and yet she still has this innocence and sweetness about her.”

– Actress Julie Benz on her initial reaction to finding out that Rita, the character she played on “Dexter,” would be killed off in the show’s season four finale, which aired last Sunday. [E! Online] Keep reading »

“Dexter” Season Finale: Holy $%&@, WTF?!

After the jump, join me in expressing my total shock over the season four finale of “Dexter,” which aired last night on Showtime. There will be lots of spoilers, so if you haven’t watched the episode yet (what is wrong with you?!), don’t click any deeper. Seriously, this was one episode you do not want spoiled. Keep reading »

Dexter Married His Sister!

How awkwardly awesome. Michael C. Hall married Jennifer Carpenter in a secret ceremony on New Year’s Eve. Hall plays the title character on “Dexter” and Carpenter plays his sister. They’ll be walking the red carpet together, as man and wife, on Sunday’s Golden Globes. [DListed] Keep reading »
