James Bond In Drag

Did you know that today is the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day? To celebrate, Daniel Craig has put on a wrap dress, heels, pearls and blonde wig for this public service announcement, which Dame Judy Dench—his James Bond co-star—narrates. “For someone who has such a fondness for women, I wonder if you’ve ever considered what it might be like to be one,” she says. “Women are responsible for two-thirds of the work done worldwide, yet earn only 10 percent of the total income and own just one percent of the property… So, are we equals?” Props to Daniel and Judy for making this ad, which brings up some very good and important points. • Ooh dang. Rachel Weisz, who just split from “Black Swan” director Darren Aronofsky, was photographed walking hand in hand with Daniel Craig, her co-star in the upcoming film “Dream House.” [People]

Rachel Weisz And Darren Aronofsky Break Up

Most of the time when celebrities break up, I’m like, bah, who cares? But this one made me sad. Director Darren Aronofsky and actress Rachel Weisz have broken up. The two were together for nine years and have a 4-year-old son, Henry Chance. They met in 2001, and worked together on “The Fountain,” which Aronofsky, whose other movies include “Pi” and “The Wrestler,” directed and starred Weisz and Hugh Jackman. The couple was engaged at the time of their split, but they had never married. Apparently, Aronofsky and Weisz were separated for several months, and now rumors are swirling that Weisz is involved with Daniel Craig, her costar in the upcoming “Dream House.” We hope that’s not true. Craig seems like a bit of a cad. [TMZ] Keep reading »

Daniel Craig Cast In “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo”

Daniel Craig has officially been cast as journalist Mikael Blomkvist in the U.S. movie version of “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo,” based on the first book in the Stieg Larsson series. I give this casting my stamp of approval, not that they asked. He is just sexy-ugly enough to play the surprising ladies’ man. The character of Lisbeth Salander is still uncast, but after seeing “The Runaways” this weekend, I am praying for one thing and one thing only — please God, not Kristen Stewart. I also watched the Swedish version of “Dragon Tattoo” and was blown away by the performances of both of the lead actors, particularly the woman who plays Lisbeth, Noomi Rapace. I wish she could speak English and play Lisbeth in the American film too — and then win the Oscar. She’s that good. [L.A. Times] Keep reading »

Quick Pic: Daniel Craig Has A License To Chill

Food company Del Monte asked more than 1,000 British women to vote on which celebrity they think is the coolest and worthy of being stuck on a stick. Daniel Craig got the most votes, and from today until June 7, limited edition Daniel Craig-shaped popsicles are being sold in England. It’s a shame they aren’t available on this side of the pond, because lord knows we’d like to put Daniel Craig in our mouths. Keep reading »

Five Reasons To Skip Seeing “Quantum Of Solace” In Theaters

We were big ol’ fans of “Casino Royale,” the last Bond flick, and the first starring the delectable Daniel Craig, another Frisky favorite. So when “Quantum of Solace” came out this weekend, we were extremely excited to see if their action-packed “boys” film would rock our chick flick hearts the way “Casino Royale” did. Sadly, it FAILED.
