  • Ex-Hugh Hefner girlfriend/Playboy model Kendra Wilkinson got rated R on “Dancing With The Stars” last night, hopping up on the judge’s table for some booty-shakin’ to “La Vida Loca.” Have fun explaining that to your kids, moms and dads of America! [Celebuzz]
  • Gwyneth Paltrow called her “mean” grandmother a see-you-next-Tuesday on “Chelsea Lately.” Whoa. Whoa. [ONTD]
  • We are exceedingly proud of our own Mind Of Man, John DeVore, for writing about his alcoholism in this brilliant piece of The Fix. [The Fix]

Kirstie Alley Becoming The “Freak Show” Of “Dancing With The Stars”

Last week, Kirstie Alley and her partner Maksim took a spill during their routine on “Dancing With The Stars“—and got better comments from the judges than ever for standing back up and continuing. Then last night, while doing their waltz, Kirstie lost a shoe and had to take a moment on the floor to fix it. “I’m not doing a sitcom. I’m actually doing a dancing show! I’m tired of having to recover,” Kirstie said. “I would just like to do something right. I don’t feel like I’m jinxed, but I feel like I need to get my s**t together… First week, we were the people who danced really well. And somehow along we’ve become the freak show.” Well, this could be an interesting new strategy. [EW] Keep reading »

Kirstie Alley Stumbles On “Dancing With The Stars”

Last night was a cringe-worthy episode of “Dancing with the Stars.” The contestants had to dance out tales of their personal struggle. Petra Nemcova danced about surviving the tsunami in 2004. And Kirstie Alley splayed herself wide open, dancing to “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” and dedicating her performance to her mom, who was hit and killed by a drunk driver in 1980, right before her acting career took off. So it made it even sadder when, a short moment into their performance, Kirstie dipped into her partner Maksim Chmerkovsky and they both tumbled to the ground after a slide. They got back up, but Maksim took a few seconds and winced pretty dramatically before the two started dancing again. Luckily, the judges were very forgiving. [TV Squad] Keep reading »

Tom Bergeron Non-Plussed With Chris Brown’s Appearance On “DWTS” Tonight

A week ago, Chris Brown smashed a window in his ABC dressing room following an interview on “Good Morning America” where Robin Roberts dared to ask him about Rihanna. Tonight, Chris has an appearance scheduled on another ABC show—”Dancing with the Stars.” Host Tom Bergeron isn’t too enthused. He told Ryan Seacrest yesterday, “I did say to the producers that it might be to their advantage to not have me interview him, because my natural tendency would be to say something. So don’t put me in a position where you’re asking me not to say something, because I won’t really do that.” And who knows what will happen if he asks the question—maybe Chris will rip some sequins off someone’s dance ensemble? Or hey, he might not even show up. He flaked on more than one performance last week. [Huffington Post] Keep reading »

Ralph Macchio Foxtrots His Way Into Our Hearts On “DWTS”

This season’s cast of “Dancing with the Stars” had me totally unenthused, but I watched the premiere last night anyway, because I care about you that much. And I was pleasantly surprised by the standout dancer of the night—Ralph Macchio of “The Karate Kid.” (No, not Jaden Smith. The original “Karate Kid” kid.) Ralph was so charming and debonair, adopting the air of a Brat Packer as he and his partner Karina Smirnoff did the Foxtrot and earned the night’s high scRalph Macchioore of 24. The hardest part for Ralph? “I have these orangutan arms, I call them, and the first thing Karina said was, ‘When they are done right, they are done fantastic, and when they are not, they will stick out,’” he said. “So I said to myself, every time I hit, I have to just go and reach … and I did it.” Wax on, wax off indeed.

Also, can we talk about how Ralph is 49? Dude is such a baby face. [EW] Keep reading »

“Dancing With The Stars” Season 12 Lineup Just Not As Juicy As The Last

Last night, I watched all 120 minutes of “The Bachelor,” rather than just fast-forwarding through the repetitive parts, so I could find out first hand who would be appearing on season 12 of “Dancing with the Stars.” And I gotta say, I am a little underwhelmed with the lineup. The guys who will lacing up their dancing shoes: Sugar Ray Leonard, the originl “Karate Kid,” Ralph Macchio, wrestler Chris Jericho, rapper Romeo, wide receiver Hines Ward, and “Loveline” co-host (aka Adam Corolla replacement) Mike Catherwood. For the women, we’ve got: Kirstie Alley, Wendy Williams, Kendra Wilkinson, Disney star Chelsea Kane, and former model Petra Nemcova. Notice how many of the folks require descriptors. Mike Catherwood and Chelsea Kane, here’s looking at you. Keep reading »
