Our Predictions For The Rumored “Dancing With The Stars 11″ Cast

The new season of “Dancing with the Stars” starts on September 20th. And while ABC has not made an official announcement about which B-, C-, D-listers we will be seeing paso doble and rhumba, plenty of rumors are circulating over the interwebs. The latest: Us Weekly tells us that David Hasselhoff has signed on for the show. Yes, that was the sound of the population of Germany marking their calendars.

Also rumored to be on the show … Keep reading »

Quotable: Gilles Marini Was Voting For Someone Else To Win “DWTS”

“This Nicole Pussycat person won. Imagine that? A professional dancer won ‘Dancing With the Stars.’ This is why I do not watch it anymore.”

— Gilles Marini apparently was not voting for Nicole Scherzinger to win “DWTS” [Page Six] Keep reading »

Erin Andrews Gets Slut-Shamed By Gossip Reporter

Quick, wash your hands! Elisabeth Hasselbeck‘s asshat-ery is contagious: Joanna Molloy, a gossip columnist for The New York Daily News, sounded a lot like Hasselbeck in a column yesterday when she accused Erin Andrews of “want[ing] it both ways” by working as an ESPN reporter and appearing on “Dancing with the Stars” in skimpy dance outfits. Does she want to be “eye candy” on the NFL sidelines or does she want to be a serious journalist like Christiane Amanpour, who Molloy tells us would never be caught dead dancing around a bed in a “lacy black number” like Andrews did on Monday night?

What Molloy is really saying about “want[ing] it both ways” is that Andrews wants to be a virgin/Peeping Tom victim and a body-baring whore who is just asking for attention. Keep reading »

“Dancing With The Stars”: Who We’d Like To See Next Season

Last night Nicole Scherzinger was the 10th star to claim the mirrored ball on “Dancing with the Stars.” The lead Pussycat Doll went up against Olympic figure skater Evan Lysacek and ESPN anchor Erin Andrews and came out victorious. Many predicted that Scherzinger would win from the start based on her spectacular performances and stage presence, not to mention her extensive dance history as a member of PCD. But Lysacek and Andrews gave her a good run for her money, bringing an enjoyable end to a season of controversy.

Was it me, or was season 10 the most exciting ever? Kate Gosselin‘s diva behavior, Jake Pavelka‘s cornball glances at Vienna Girardi, and Nicole’s spats with Pamela Anderson made it must-watch TV, not to mention Elisabeth Hasselbeck’s major snafu regarding Erin Andrews’ wardrobe. The show seriously picked the right contestants this time around. To help them out for season 11, here are the 15 stars we’d love to see do the rumba next. Keep reading »

“Dancing With The Stars” Ends Tonight

Tonight is the season finale of “Dancing with the Stars” and it’s down to Erin Andrews, Evan Lysacek, and Nicole Scherzinger. We are so not shocked that these three are the finalists. Erin was on her college’s dance team and starred in “Darrin’s Dance Grooves” back in the day. Evan Lysacek is a gold medal figure skater, which obviously means that homie knows how to use his body. And Nicole Scherzinger is in the Pussycat Dolls and constantly has to learn complicated choreography. Based on how the season has gone so far, either Evan or Nicole will be crowned the winner tonight. But since we are rooting for Erin, we are thrilled that she managed to tie Nicole in her scores last night for the lead.

And in case you need more incentive to watch—tonight, Jake Pavelka will return to the show to dance to the worst song ever, “On the Wings of Love,” with his fiancée, Vienna Girardi. Here’s hoping they fall on their faces. I mean, good luck! Keep reading »

Betty White: 8 Shows We’d Actually Like To See Her On

Ever since the Facebook campaign to have Betty White host “Saturday Night Live” worked, new groups keep popping up calling for her to host the Oscars as well as make appearances on “Dancing with the Stars” and “Glee.” Personally, I like the idea of our favorite “Golden Girl” doing battle with Sue Sylvester on “Glee.” But I’d rather not see her on “Dancing with the Stars”—going on that show is basically an admission that you are a washed-up celeb that no one cares about. Plus, I’d hate to see Betty hurt herself while busting some crazy moves.

That said, there are quite a few shows out there that could benefit from a little Betty. After the jump, our wish list. Keep reading »

Erin Andrews Shilled For “Darrin’s Dance Grooves”

In high school, I always stayed up into the wee hours of the night to watch videos like Alanis Morrisette’s “You Outta Know” and Weezer’s “Sweater Song” on “120 Minutes.” I remember that at least once a night, a commercial for “Darrin’s Dance Grooves” would come on — Darrin choreographed videos for the likes of Britney Spears and N’Sync, and his video promised to help you master his “unique, street-style dance steps.” Interestingly, Deadspin took a closer look at this old commercial and discovered that … Erin Andrews is in it. We knew she was a ringer on “Dancing with the Stars!” Check it out. Not only does she dance, but she also enthuses, “When you’re watching this choreography, you just wanna get up and do it with them.” Yeah! [People] Keep reading »

Elisabeth Hasselbeck’s Comments About Erin Andrews Made Elisabeth Hasselbeck Cry

This morning on “The View,” Elisabeth Hasselbeck got all choked up when she told her fellow co-hosts that she felt horrible about “hurting Erin Andrews‘ feelings.” As I told you this morning, on yesterday’s show, Hasselbeck made a rather inappropriate comment about how Andrews stalker could have avoided jail time if he’d just waited to see her scantily clad on “Dancing with the Stars.” Hasselbeck got reamed for the comment and had to go home and explain to her daughter the mistake she made. Now, in all fairness, Hasselbeck does seem genuinely sorry and people do say stupid things, but you gotta wonder if there’s a bit of Elisabeth that believes dressing a certain way encourages predatory behavior. Anyway, Andrews hasn’t said whether she accepts Hasselbeck’s apology, but she did tell People, “It was a slap in the face to victims of stalking and sexual predators. As a mother and a woman, I’m disappointed she went there.” [People] Keep reading »

Quotable: Elisabeth Hasselbeck Thinks Erin Andrews Needs To Cover Up

“For the past like three weeks she’s been wearing like next to nothing. I think in light of what happened … and as inexcusable as it was for that horrific guy to go in and try to peep on her in her hotel room … in some way, if I’m him, I’m like, ‘Man, I could have just waited 12 weeks … I could have seen this, a little bit less, without the prison time.’”

– Elisabeth Hasselbeck snarked on Erin Andrews on yesterday’s episode of “The View.” To remind you, Andrews is the ESPN commentator turned “Dancing with the Stars” contestant who was videotaped naked in a hotel room without her consent by a stalker. So. Yeah. STFU, Lizzie. [Gawker TV] Keep reading »

10 Ways Jake Pavelka Could Extend His 15 Minutes Now That He’s Off “Dancing With The Stars”

Last night, Jake Pavelka was ousted from “Dancing with the Stars,” ending his run on three ABC reality shows in a row. Maybe he should’ve undone a few more buttons? Oh wait. Anyway, today, he appeared on “GMA” to talk to George Stephanapoulos about it. Of course, Jake says that the “Dancing” experience has only made him and Vienna stronger. “Vienna has been amazing,” he said. “She’s been a cornerstone through all of this — cooking me breakfast every morning, she brings Chelsie and I lunch a lot of times — and I owe her big. She put her life on hold for me to do this and so I’m going to go romance my bride.”

Earlier this year, an ex accused Jake of being voraciously fame-hungry. And he gave a rather cryptic answer when asked if he was going back to flying. “You know what, flying, no matter what happens, will always be a huge part of my life,” he said. “You never know what door God’s going to open, but right now the plan is to fly airplanes.” [Reality TV World]

But the man has two hands—why not open some doors on his own? After the jump, 10 ideas Jake should consider to stay in the public eye. Keep reading »
