An Open Letter To Dakota Fanning

So, we love you. The adoration campaign began way back when you played the Reese Witherspoon mini-me in “Sweet Home Alabama.” Now that you’re 15 and all growns up (by the way, the smile looks great—we know, the braces phase is never fun), we wanted to pass along a few bits of advice on how to survive the scene that is Young Hollywood. Mostly, it’s easy: See what Lindsay Lohan is up to? Do the exact opposite, always. Oh and a few more tips… Keep reading »

90210 Threatens To Take Over Twilight Sequel

AnnaLynne McCord, Naomi Clark on “90210,” may be cast in “New Moon,” the “Twilight” sequel. Filmmakers are considering her for Heidi, a “fisher” who brings humans to the Volturi vampires to consume. McCord’s “90210″ co-star Kellan Lutz will reprise his Emmett Cullen role, as well. Too bad Heidi and Emmett don’t have any romantic scenes together. Maybe then we’d know definitively whether McCord and Lutz are dating. Dakota Fanning is in talks to play Jane, a member of the Volturi family. Unlike McCord, Fanning didn’t even have to audition. [E! Online] Keep reading »

Crave: “The Secret Life Of Bees” DVD

“The Secret Life of Bees” is one of those movies that will make you cry, laugh and appreciate your friends. Set during the Civil Rights Era, the story focuses on Lily Owens (Dakota Fanning) whose journey to learn about her dead mother takes her to the home of the Boatwright sisters in South Carolina. Lily forms a maternal bond with each of the sisters as they expose her to comfort, grace and spirituality–luxuries she has never been afforded at home. Queen Latifah as August Boatwright is as warm and compassionate as Matron Mama Morton was money-hungry in “Chicago.” The other actors, including Jennifer Hudson, Sophie Okonedo and Tristan Wilds, were also perfectly cast. You will connect to each of the characters and the issues at hand. The DVD release date is February 3, but it’s available for pre-order now. [$19.99, Amazon.com] Keep reading »
