The Daily (Double-Dose Of) Hotness: Gael Garcia Bernal & Diego Luna

Happy Cinco De Mayo! I can’t wait to go home and make a margarita, try my hand at this bean dip recipe I’ve been curious about, and then sit down to watch Y Tu Mama Tambien. Actually, I probably won’t, because Cinco De Mayo is really about margarita-drinking-togetherness, but to give myself, and you, a taste, here are the film’s stars, Gael Garcia Bernal and Diego Luna, in all their glory. Incidentally, both of them are about to be daddies. Felicitaciones! Keep reading »

The Daily Hotness: Ira Glass

This Sunday night, Ira Glass is coming back to my place…through my cable provider. From behind the desk of his NPR radio show, Glass sweet talked himself and his stories into our hearts. Now with his highly anticipated Showtime series about to start its second season, he is the face of modern American mythology and revolutionary reality television. When he took to the stage last night in New York City to boldly go where no man had gone before — doing This American Life live and via national simulcast, the sexy storyteller seduced the audience with his casual charm, quick wit, and signature tight grey suit. Our Emily and I giggled and cheered like he was a Beatle along with the gaggle of other horn-rimmed-glasses-groupies. And from what we saw of the show, the new season looks as smart and as good as the man himself! Keep reading »

The Daily Hotness: Robert Pattinson

That hottie Cedric Diggory is going to be in another movie! Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire star Robert Pattinson stars in the hotly anticipated vampire movie, Twilight, based on a series of books by some goth writer. Apparently the story is about some teenage girl who risks everything when she falls in love with a vampire! Kind of like our Simcha and her tween crush on The Count. Keep reading »

The Daily Hotness: Dave Annable

I once met Dave Annable. A publicist was coming to the office where I worked for a meeting, and he came with her and enthusiastically introduced himself. I thought he was another publicist. Oops. Now Dave plays Justin Walker on Brothers and Sisters, and he has portrayed some intense stuff, drug addiction and drug withdrawal being the most notable. I heart his scruff. Keep reading »

The Daily Hotness: Jason Taylor

Dancing With The Stars is literally the only reality TV show I don’t watch. The only place I don’t want to watch D-listers in on a dance show. Don’t ask me why. But I may have to change my tune now that I have been alerted to the steamy presence of Jason Taylor on this season. He’s a football player on the Miami Dolphins, but by the looks of the clip after the jump, he’s as graceful as a swan on dance floor. Football is boring, Jason, maybe you should think about turning in your cleets for tap shoes. [ESPN.com] Keep reading »

The Daily Hotness: James McAvoy

I finally saw Atonement this weekend. I know, I’m really behind. It is really quite phenomenal how attractive James McAvoy is in that movie. The whole scene with him and Keira Knightly in the library was like a sexy version of Clue. You know — Mr. McAvoy and Ms. Knightly, in the library, with a step-ladder. Sexy. Keep reading »

The Daily Hotness: Harold & Kumar

Harold and Kumar have cuter buns than White Castle and dare we say they would make a more delicious sandwich. The sexy and lovable twosome, John Cho and Kal Penn, are back in action; Harold and Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay opens today. While their comedic caper is getting great reviews, boys, you had our $10 at hello. Although, you may not get to have steamy prison sex or share a Crave Case with the stoners, we gotta say their fans are a good-looking crop too.

The Daily Hotness: Evan Dando

Holy crap! Remember Evan Dando, the studly, emotional lead singer of The Lemonheads? We thought he was dead. Not so! The singer made an appearance, looking exactly the same as he did 22 years ago when the band was formed, at the NME Awards this week. Umm, apparently The Lemonheads aren’t dead either and are currently in the studio recording a new album. Whatever, we hope they still play “It’s A Shame About Ray” at their live shows. The Daily Hotness: Colin Beavan

Colin Beavan, his wife, and their young daughter have spent the last year trying to lead a no carbon impact lifestyle in New York City, blogging about the experience on “No Impact Man”. The experiment included, among other things, producing no trash except for what went into a compost, purchasing no goods except for food grown within a 250-mile radius, using no carbon-based transportation (very tough in NYC!), and using no paper products, including toilet paper. Colin was on The Colbert Report earlier this month explaining just how fun this experience has been. A book based on the blog will be released in 2009, which Colin promises, “will be printed and produced in some, yet to be determined, sustainable way.” Keep reading »

The Daily Hotness: Joshua Jackson

Pacey was always my favorite Dawson’s Creek guy, especially when he bought Joey that wall for her to paint. I’ve been a little sad that Joshua Jackson has laid pretty low in recent years. Sure, he had that movie Shutter out last month, but stories about ghosts don’t really do it for me. Thankfully, Joshua is guest-starring on Grey’s Anatomy beginning May 1. He’s playing a sexy young doctor, of course. Keep reading »
