Surprise! Designer Cynthia Rowley got her big break thanks to Playboy. At a party over the weekend, Rowley was overheard saying that she got her very first credit in a magazine when she was a student and Playboy published a spread of a model in a sailor hat and matching skirt of her design. The only problem? She couldn’t show her parents. Luckily, after graduation, one of Rowley’s grandmothers gave her $3,000, which she used to launch her first line. It’s official: Fashion diapers are now a trend. First Huggies came onto the scene with their hipster-fied denim diapers. Now news has just broke that Cynthia Rowley will collaborate with Pampers to design a line of the baby panties, to be sold at Target come mid-July. Her second collab with the mass retailer, this one sounds like high fashion for four-month-olds. According to a company statement, “the pastel designs includes madras, stripes and printed ruffles suited specifically to babies and toddlers.” Cute? Or a sign of an impending designer diaper boom? How To Get Fake Bangs With The Help Of A Hair Donut

Backstage at Cynthia Rowley, I spotted a new ‘do that some of you ladies out there (and certain people around here) are going to love. The curled bang look created by hairstylist Bok-Hee is just as retro as Simcha’s usual pompadour, but, as Bok-Hee told me, it has “a little modern twist.” To create the bang, Bok-Hee combed a section of hair forward and rolled it over a hair donut she had cut to fit the model’s forehead, pinning it into place. The rest of the hair was slicked back into a pony, and that’s it! This could also be a pretty slick way to try bangs before you commit to cutting your hair.
