I could look at alpacas all day, because I consider alpacas, just like corgi dogs, to be Nature’s Comedy. Like, HOW DID THE UNIVERSE COME UP WITH SUCH A FUNNY, WEIRD THING? Apparently the folks at Yestadt Millinery agree. They took some of their hats to Raspberry Hill Alpaca Farm and tried to get the alpacas to wear them, but no dice. Because hello, they’re alpacas, not hat-wearing fools. [Buzzfeed]
Hey, look, I don’t like snakes. I don’t like snakes because I fundamentally disagree with an animal that doesn’t have legs. I just think that is WRONG, mmkay? But you know what? Live and let live. Sandra, as featured in Animal Planet’s “My Extreme Animal Phobia,” happens to think that kittens are the devil’s work. As Sandra’s not-very-sympathetic friend explains, “It’s like, when she hears ‘meow,’ it’s like she starts crying. I’m like, are you SERIOUS?” Hey, one woman’s adorable fluff ball is another woman’s waking nightmare or whatever. [YouTube]
I don’t know about you, but this raccoon’s plate looks a lot cleaner than mine does after a tasty meal. [Buzzfeed]
Our old friend Marcel the Shell with shoes on is back! And he’s got a bunch of new things to tell us, about how he travels (by bug), where he sleeps (in a slice of bread) and what he’d like his nickname to be (Ace, of course). Marcel happily illuminates life on the small side of things: “Guess why the bus isn’t running?” he queries. “Because the bus is a caterpillar and it threw up!” [YouTube]
Pop quiz: Ryan Gosling : Amelia :: _______ : me. If you answered Joseph Gordon-Levitt, you’d be correct. Inspired by Ryan Gosling Vs. Puppies, I’ve decided to pit My Celebrity Boyfriend That Just Doesn’t Know That We’re Perfect For Each Other (Yet!) up against a gaggle of squee-inducing kittens. Will JGL defeat the appealing meows of tiny furry kittens, or has JGL’s hotness finally met its match? Worlds be colliding! And while my allegiances are fairly well-spelled out, you may want to challenge my choices. Commence debate in the comments!
Great Dane Lily was rendered blind thanks to a rare condition in which her eyelashes grew into her eyeballs. But thankfully she’s got guide dog Maddison — another Great Dane — to lead her around. Maddison stays close to Lily when they walk around, helping to guide her by touching her with his body to let her know the way. Keep reading »
