Win This! Orlane’s New Absolute Radiance Set

Orlane

We’re low-maintenance gals in these parts, but special events (parties, weddings, dates, etc.) call for a little something extra. Orlane’s new Absolute Radiance Set promises “Cinderella skin” in seven minutes, and you’d better believe we were intrigued. The kit comes with several applications of an eye serum and patches, a face mask you get to mix together all chemistry set-style, and a brightening face cream. We applied the products in the specific combination outlined in the included instruction manual, and it left us with refreshed, glowing skin that looked so divine we ended up skipping foundation altogether. We were stunned. In fact, it was sort of like seven minutes in heaven. [$200, Neiman Marcus]

WIN IT! We’re giving away five sets of Orlane’s Absolute Radiance Set, but you have to work if you want one. The five best commenters for this coming week—from today, Friday, Nov. 6 through Thursday, Nov. 12—will be awarded with one. So, be as clever, smart, and original as you can! Season’s Savings! “Miracle On 34th Street” DVD From F.Y.E.

Season's Savings At F.Y.E.

“Miracle on 34th Street” is by far one of our favorite holiday movies because it reminds us of our childhood innocence and really captures the spirit of old-school NYC during the holidays. We found out Santa Claus was a fictional character before we were 10 years old, but we enjoyed this story of the real Kris Kringle’s (Edmund Gwenn) fight for legitimacy in court because it proved miracles do happen. And as with any feel-good movie worth its salt, there’s a romance between Kris’ supervisor (Maureen O’Hara) and his roommate-cum-lawyer (John Payne), too. [$12.99, F.Y.E.]

F.Y.E. is offering Frisky readers 7 percent off any purchase, from today, Nov. 3, to Tuesday, Nov. 24. Simply click here and enter coupon code FRISKY7 when shopping. Check back daily for more Season’s Savings discounts!

Season’s Savings! Chadwick & Rueling Two-Finger Rose Ring

Chadwick & Rueling Two-Finger Rose Ring

Two-finger rings have been spotted on celebs like Rihanna and Lauren Conrad, and we’ve wanted one since the trend made a resurgence a year ago. Until now, though, we hadn’t found one that was perfect for us. The flowers make Chadwick & Rueling’s handmade two-finger rose ring look feminine, but the oxidized silver adds a little grit, too. It’s perfect for the woman who wants to partake in the two-finger ring trend without looking like she’s wearing brass knuckles. [$189, Etsy]

Chadwick & Rueling is offering Frisky readers 25 percent off all of their silver rings from today, Nov. 2, through Thursday, Dec. 31. Use the coupon code “Frisky Deal” when you check out, and check back daily for more Season’s Savings discounts!

MoMA Chat Plates

MoMA Chat Plates By Ikuko Nakazawa

When a guest doesn’t know anyone at a party, she usually ends up talking to the host or congregating around the snacks and booze. But these Chat Plates designed by Ikuko Nakazawa, which resemble conversation bubbles from manga comics, will remind everyone that the whole point of a party is to schmooze. Each set includes one large plate and two smaller ones that are microwaveable and dishwasher safe. This is the perfect time of year for entertaining, as you know, and your guests will thank you for not inundating them with more holiday-themed decorations. [$48, Velocity]

Zadro Nano Wand UV Disinfection Scanner

Zadro Nano Wand UV Disinfection Scanner

Calling all serious germaphobes! Forget all those hand sanitizing gels and wipes. And stop using wads and wads of tissue paper to open doors. Those who obsess about hygiene and germs can wave all their troubles away in 10 seconds with the Zadro Nano Wand. This scanner magically zaps E. coli, dust mites, lice, and fleas. And kills viruses and bacteria on surfaces. It only weighs 1.4 pounds, so it’s portable (though maybe not through airport security). The price isn’t all that high when you consider how much it will cost you if you get sick. This is definitely one gadget on our wish list until the health care system is revamped. [$143.99, Target]

Box & Flea Swallow Bandana

Box & Flea Swallow Bandana

Spit or swallow? Sorry, sorry. But for once you might actually choose the latter with this beautiful bandana featuring a printed swallow design. Made by Box & Flea, a design collaborative, each bandana is hand-printed in their Brooklyn studio. We love how this scarf communicates a story, appearing almost like an illustration out of a children’s book. The swallow represents “love, care and affection towards family and friends, showing the loyalty of the person always returning to them.” Of course, the birds also represent a journey—one that hopefully makes it straight to your purse or neck, or wherever else you want to show the bandana off. Han Cholo Straight Razorblade Pendant

Han Cholo Straight Razorblade Pendant

So this pendant is meant for a boy, which is kind of cool, but on a girl it would be totally badass. Take away all images of all the places a lady could shave, and instead think of this as a warning to all foes: “You’ll get cut if you mess with me!” We’re not condoning violence, mind you. We usually cut and slash egos, not flesh, with our quick wit. [$57, 80’s Purple]

Ever since her husband began campaigning for the presidency, Michelle Obama has been in the spotlight—and so has her closet. Mrs. O documents the first lady’s wardrobe on the campaign trail and in the White House with more than 120 photographs. Close-ups of Jimmy Choo pumps, Erickson Beamon brooches, Maria Pinto dresses, and more show how the pieces come together to create Michelle’s signature style. [$17.15, Amazon.com]

Llama Yacht Polka Dot Tote

llamma yacht tote bag

Some are gifted with crafty talent and take naturally to a Singer sewing machine. Then there are those whose homespun fashion attempts could land them in the “Project Runway” hall of shame. For the latter who still want to show off a homemade look, try these cute polka-dotted totes by Llama Yacht. Weird name aside, their handmade bags accented with vintage ribbons are just quaint enough to do the trick. [$36, Llama Yacht, Chocosho]

Fishs Eddy Strip He Glasses

Fishs Eddy Strip He Glasses

While pinup girls make regular appearances on everything from jewelry to automobile mud flaps, we don’t see pinup guys, well, anywhere. Thankfully, tableware company Fishs Eddy has come up with a set of cheeky (har, har) glasses to fill the void. Featuring a pole dancer in butt-baring chaps, these 13.5 oz. cups are certainly one tall drink of water. [$20 for 4, Fishs Eddy]

Craighton Berman DIY Coil Lamp Kit

Craighton Berman DIY Coil Lamp Kit

While we could all hang an unadorned light bulb from an extension cord for light, most people prefer chandeliers, light fixtures, and lamps that add a decorative touch to rooms. Industrial designer Craighton Berman, however, took the simplest electric lighting elements—a cord and a light bulb—and turned them into a high-design table lamp. This marks the first time an orange 100-foot extension cord has looked stylish. [$75, Craighton Berman]

Disney Couture Jewelry Flower Ring With Tinkerbell

Disney Couture Jewelry Flower Ring With Tinkerbell

We thought Disney and couture were polar opposites ever since we saw “princesses” wearing filthy sneakers under their gowns at Disney World when we were six years old. But now our opinion has changed because the company that usually caters to kids has adults in its sight with a new line of jewelry. Each piece in the line, like this Flower Ring with Tinkerbell, harkens back to a famous movie you probably loved as a child. You’ll feel like an adult when wearing the jewelry, though, because pink plastic beads, usually used in little girls’ jewelry, are nowhere to be found. (But you can still show your whimsical side and act like a princess.) [$40, 80’s Purple]

Warriors In Pink Warrior Woven Scarf (Win It!)

scarf

Not only does Ford donate $20 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure when you test-drive one of their vehicles from now until Dec. 31, but the car company also sells cute apparel and accessories, with 100 percent of the net proceeds going to to the organization. The Warriors in Pink line includes non-cheesy T-shirts, bright flip-flops, an umbrella with a patterned underside, a Martha Stewart-approved stamping kit, and more. We’re especially fond of the beautiful Warrior Woven Scarf, which we can wear all year long in support of finding a cure for breast cancer. [$38, Warriors in Pink]

We’re giving away one basket filled with Warriors in Pink gear—including the woven scarf, tie, umbrella, flip-flops, T-shirt, stamping kit, and more—but you have to work if you want it. The best commenter for this coming week—from today, Friday, Oct. 16 through Thursday, Oct. 22—will be awarded with the Warriors in Pink basket. So, be as clever, smart, and original as you can! Dapper Pocket Wallet

Dapper Pocket Wallet

This made us think of the “Seinfeld” episode where Kramer decides his wallet is too bulky and ditches it, preferring to carry a wad of cash in his back pocket. “I keep the big bills on the outside,” he tells Jerry. Jerry: “That’s a five.”

Not that we want to totally pare down, but it would be nice for once to have a money carrier that actually fits in a pocket. Our choice: the Dapper Pocket Wallet, which has a pleasantly boyish vibe with Italian leather, wool felt, and a herringbone strap. Unfortunately, being able to fit your wallet into your pocket doesn’t solve the problem of where the other 63 things you carry in your purse should go. [$75, The Curiosity Shoppe]

Chicago 400 Pro Girls/Ladies Roller Skates

Chicago 400 Pro Girls/Ladies Roller Skates

After seeing Drew Barrymore and Ellen Page cute it up on the rink in “Whip It,” we’ve been wanting roller skates. For the faint of heart, those not quite ready for the large investment or face-smashing of actual roller derby skates, these seem like a great bet. With clean lines and the retro white and pink fashion reminiscent of childhoods spent watching Michelle Kwan—how could you go wrong? Strap these bad girls on and wait for the lights to dim, the disco ball to spin, and rock out with awkwardness to “I Will Always Love You.” [$59.95, SkateBuys]
