We almost didn’t recognize Courtney Stodden without her signature lucite heels and creepy human husband appendage Doug Hutchison. But then, the teeny tiny bikini and overly tanned face gave it away — that’s our Courtney! And in her most recent photo shoot, she’s channeling Bo Derek from the classic ’70s flick “10.” Seeing as Court-Court wasn’t even born when “10″ came out, we’re gonna bet that this was Doug’s idea. Wherever there is controversy, Kim Kardashian can be found close nearby whining, “Why are you not paying attention to me?” So naturally when Tanning Mom started grabbing headlines with her baked-to-a-crisp skin, Kim could not handle it. This weekend Kim tweeted a pic of super-tanned self with the headline, “The tannerexic [sic] mom has some serious competition!!! LOL”

Look, there’s no doubt I support animal rights. I’m a vegan. I don’t wear fur and only wear vintage leather. However, I feel very strange about animal rights organization PETA using Courtney Stodden as their spokeslady. I mean, it’s great that Courtney adopted her dog Bazaar from a shelter eight years ago, and “saturates” him with love. And also great that she claims she’s never eaten a hamburger and has recently become a vegetarian. But uh, is the lucite heels wearing, 17-year-old child bride really the best spokesperson for animals? Was Jason Lee or Alicia Silverstone busy that day?
