There are a lot of reasons to wish you were a kid again. A few off the top of our heads: Nap time, no weird looks when you order a Happy Meal, the potential to become a virtuoso fashion blogger. Also—the awesome new kicks from Converse styled after Dr. Seuss books and characters. You’ll recognize the illustrated designs from some of your favorite childhood storybooks (it’s nice to know that some things never change, right?). There’s a “One fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish” style, a “Thing 1, Thing 2″ pair, a Cat in the Hat design, and more. Yup, most of the sneakers are for kids, but a couple do fit grown-ups if you want to spend a day taking a walk in a kid’s shoes. [Converse via L.A. Times] Keep reading »

Admittedly, “The Hills” hasn’t been the same since Lauren Conrad left, but die-hard fans are going to have to find a new way to fulfill their need for fake drama and blank stares now that the show is finally coming to an end. For those who just can’t live without Kristin, Lo, Stephanie, and Audrina in their lives, Converse is here to help. The shoe brand decorated a pair of their sneaks with snaps of the stars, so now you can walk around and show off your love for the girls, while undoubtedly enduring a few judging looks from passersbys. If that doesn’t satiate your “Hills” love, don’t get too depressed just yet. There are rumors that Stephanie Pratt is thinking of moving to New York to join the cast of “The City” — which hasn’t been canceled? — in order to keep up with her reality show career and continue with her crocodile tear action. Watch out, Manhattan. [Crushable] Keep reading »
We all love our classic Chucks, but this striped pair of Converse All Star Light Slips are a welcomed addition to any sneaker head or shoe lover’s collection. This summer, you’ll need a pair of reliable yet stylish shoes for sightseeing and exploring. The black and white pinstripes match everything; you can wear them with all your shorts and tank tops for an easy look. But you can also opt for a short full skirt to kick things up. So get to steppin’ in these comfy babies and rock the stripes wherever your summer takes you.
When I happened to come across these kicks filed under “Men’s Fashion” on the NY Times‘ The Moment today, I braced myself for disappointment. Doesn’t Converse know there are plenty of female metalheads out here in this crazy mixed-up world? Luckily, I was wrong. Visit the site to find extra-high voltage AC/DC Chucks in sizes that will fit men, women, and even Europeans! Kids, however, are SOL, meaning that Kingston Rossdale will be so freakin’ put out. For the man on a Missoni: Converse, the iconic old-school kicks, are about to get a major designer upgrade thanks to a collaboration with Missoni. The collection, “Premium Chuck Hi Missoni” for Spring 2010 takes the basic hi-top and slaps the classic zig-zag print on them to create two varieties—one with black laces and purple-grey material, the other with white laces and an earthier pink-brown combo. The news leaked when Tai Missoni spotted wearing a pre-released pair. Now, when will we get the ladies’ version, please? [HighSnobette, WWD]
