NYC Construction Worker Apologizes With A Song

 

NYC construction worker, Gary Russo, took time to serenade Upper East Side residents on his lunch break with Sinatra’s “New York, New York.” I suppose we should consider his construction karaoke a peace offering of sorts for all the racket his men cause. If he truly wants to “wake up in a city that never sleeps,” he has achieved just that. Thanks to constant jackhammering and such in many of our neighborhoods, we haven’t slept in for months. Construction noise is especially unwelcome at 7a.m. on a Saturday morning, which is when they turn on their cement mixers. I suppose I’d be less aggravated if my slumber was disrupted by singing rather than drilling. Oh wait, the guy next door already does that.
