Do You Ever Wear The Same Outfit 2 Days In A Row?

Ever wear the same thing a couple days in a row? Claudia Schiffer does. Last week, she was spotted wearing the same outfit on Nov. 3 and 4 as she took her children to school. Now, there are number of reasons why someone would choose to wear the same clothes for two days — for instance, if they have a new baby at home (like Claudia), they’re required to wear a uniform for work, or they’re doing the walk of shame. I’ll admit to wearing the same bottoms or a sweater twice in a row, but I’ve never donned the same complete outfit, unless I’ve spent the night out, was getting a ride home, and planned to shower and dress in a completely different look later. I just wasn’t raised to believe wearing the same outfit two days or more in a row was acceptable. But now that the very American trend of bathing everyday is shifting, could it be time to reconsider how often we change our clothes, too? I’m not entirely convinced. Claudia Schiffer Goes Black For A Magazine Cover

Tongues are wagging after a photo of Claudia Schiffer made up as a black woman with dark foundation and an afro wig appeared on the cover of a German magazine this month. The image, along with six others of Schiffer dressed as various characters, including an Asian woman, were shot by renowned fashion designer and photographer Karl Lagerfeld for a Dom Perignon advertising campaign. Some argue this shot is tasteless and offensive given how few minority women are actually featured in mainstream magazines, as well as comparisons it draws with minstrel shows. Schiffer’s representatives claim the pictures have been taken out of context and were “designed to reflect different men’s fantasies.” What do you think: arty or offensive? Those of us golden oldies who can remember Claudia Schiffer‘s Guess modeling days (and may or may not have had said ads plastered on our walls next to Kate Moss’s Calvin Klein tearouts back in the day) did a double take when we saw the supermodel’s new ad campaign for Fashion Targets Breast Cancer, at right. Obviously, the more important thing here is that you should waste no time supporting the cause by shopping the collection — 30 percent of proceeds go to FTBC.
