A week ago, Chris Brown smashed a window in his ABC dressing room following an interview on “Good Morning America” where Robin Roberts dared to ask him about Rihanna. Tonight, Chris has an appearance scheduled on another ABC show—”Dancing with the Stars.” Host Tom Bergeron isn’t too enthused. He told Ryan Seacrest yesterday, “I did say to the producers that it might be to their advantage to not have me interview him, because my natural tendency would be to say something. So don’t put me in a position where you’re asking me not to say something, because I won’t really do that.” And who knows what will happen if he asks the question—maybe Chris will rip some sequins off someone’s dance ensemble? Or hey, he might not even show up. He flaked on more than one performance last week. [Huffington Post] Keep reading »
Let’s have some real talk … I know you think you’ve been having a really bad week and everything, what with your totally unfair “Good Morning America” interview earlier this week, when you were asked by Robin Roberts about your life after Rihanna. You remember Rihanna, right? She was your girlfriend — the one you beat up in February 2009, so violently that many media outlets refused to show the pictures of her. Well, Chris, you really have managed to outdo yourself this time; acting a fool on “GMA” was bad enough, but it was the unapologetic bulls**ttery after the fact that really takes the cake. You should be shocked and awed that you even get invited onto talk shows at all. I know I am. Keep reading »
Perhaps Chris Brown
‘s anger management classes aren’t going so well. This morning, the performer and his newly blonde hair were scheduled for an interview and performance on “Good Morning America.” When Robin Roberts asked him about Rihanna
, he said, “It’s not really a big deal to me now. I think I’m past that in my life. Today is the album, so everybody go get that album.” From there, Chris supposedly stormed off the set and starting screaming in his dressing room so loudly that hair and makeup called security.
And it allegedly got way worse. Keep reading »
Chris Brown is hosting “Saturday Night Live” tomorrow night and no one cares.
I would have thought that, even after two years have passed since he beat the crap out of his then-girlfriend Rihanna, people would question “SNL”‘s decision. I would think there’d be more of a public uproar. I would have thought people would make a stink. But all I’ve found online was one piece on Clutch Magazine, an online mag for young black women, and a tiny blog post on The New York Observer‘s web site. Nothing from Feministing. Nothing from Jezebel (though they ragged on him for performing at a boxing match last spring). The Young, Black And Fabulous blog even said they were happy Chris Brown was performing on “SNL.”
Even a few friends I asked didn’t care. “Dude has a right to go on with his career,” one friend said. “A lot of performers have done f**ed up stuff in their personal lives. If they’re good, they’re good,” another said.
Really, I’m surprised. Keep reading »
Yeesh. Usually Russell Brand is a little funny, but these promos for “Saturday Night Live,” which he is hosting this weekend, are just terrible. Maybe Russell was just nervous because the musical guest is Chris Brown (boooooo) who beat the crap out of his wife Katy Perry‘s best friend Rihanna? That’s the only explanation I can surmise. Boyfriend of the
year decade Chris Brown fails at life again. Yesterday Prince Charming lashed out against the rapper Raz-B on Twitter, tweeting homophobic slurs and making comments about rape and molestation. All of Chris Brown’s nastiest tweets appear to have been deleted with only the ones where he denies being a homophobe remaining.
It’s a piping hot mess, so bear with me … Keep reading »
