    Shred Your Chris Brown CDs If You Love Rihanna

    We just got a press release telling us about about a nationwide protest in support of Rihanna/people who are unlucky in love. On Feb. 13, Radio station WBLI in West Babylon, NY, is having a “Shred Your Ex” party complete with a wood chipper for shredding photos, letters, and mementos from ex-lovers, as well as Chris Brown CDs and posters. Sure, we’re all mad at Brown for allegedly beating on our girl Rihanna, but we’re in an economic downturn — wouldn’t it be better to sell paraphernalia on eBay? Also, please recycle all love letters.   • This is a little too abstract for us to completely understand, but it includes two of our biggest girl crushes ever, so we thought we’d share. Roman Polanski directed a fake commercial for a fake perfume called Greed. This faux ad is supposedly commenting on the hype that surrounds the launch of new luxury products.     Blaming The Victim: Can We Stop Looking For Excuses For Chris Brown?

    If one more person sends me a link to a story which says that Rihanna gave Chris Brown herpes and that’s why he allegedly hit and bit her, I will scream. According to no one with any authority, Rihanna “got herpes from a famous rapper and passed it on to her current boyfriend…the R&B singer supposedly just started showing the symptoms and lashed out at his girlfriend as a result.” Who the eff cares if Rihanna DID give Chris Brown herpes that she got from “a famous rapper” (way to get Jay-Z involved, rumor mongers)? Last time I checked, there is NO REASON EVER to assault a woman. Can people quit looking for a reason, any reason, to excuse abuse? If it were true, it would mean that Brown is just a controlling, abusive a-hole. Not every scandal can have a back story. Keep reading »

    Chris Brown Turns Himself In

    Here’s an update on the Chris Brown saga. Brown turned himself in to the Los Angeles Police Department around 7 p.m. yesterday. According to one website, Rihanna was spotted at the LAPD Wilshire Station with bruises on her face, but at this point, that’s just a rumor. Brown’s being investigated for felony battery. He posted $50,000 bail and was released. He’s due in court on March 5. Keep reading »

    So, here’s the Grammy scoop. Both Rihanna and Chris Brown were scheduled to appear AND perform at the Grammy Awards tonight, but at the last minute, both canceled. Why? Chris Brown is apparently being investigated on an assault charge, for allegedly beating on a woman at 12:30 this morning. The woman’s name has not been released, but many are speculating that the victim was Rihanna.
