We’re slightly obsessed with the statement lips Chloe Sevigny rocked at Interview magazine’s 40th anniversary party. And we’ve always loved pink hues, but we’ve never gone quite so bold. Fashion editors swooned over the lingerie trend on the runways. I’ll admit, I loved it too. A hint of sexiness is a great look — one which certain girls can pull off. But what I’ve recently learned is that when that particular trend made its way into reality, it simply doesn’t work. Chloe Sevigny just showed off her bra-as-a-top outfit at the Prada party in Los Angeles, and I’m kind of regretting my original love for the lingerie look. Sure, she’s a celeb and it’s a red carpet affair, but to me, and I’m sure most of the party-goers, it just looks like she walked out of the house in the middle of getting dressed. Am I the only one who thinks it looks just like she forgot to put on a shirt? It’s like a bad dream when you realize you’re not fully clothed, but this is reality. Yikes! Keep reading »

Chloe Sevigny Obsesses Over Redheads For Fall Campaign

Are redheads finally experiencing the glory they deserve? Clearly, we’re highly obsessed with “Mad Men”‘s Joan Holloway (disappointingly absent, we might add, from last night’s episode!). Now Chloe Sevigny is shining a spotlight on them too, by using only redhead models in the lookbook for her Opening Ceremony collection. Called “Reds,” the catalog reads more like an art book with photographs as well as more conceptual illustrations and collages.

Apparently, reports View on Fashion, Chloe chose to go this route because she “thought that her collection of grey tweeds would look perfect on redheads.” Interesting fall fashion idea for the non-reds out there … pairing tweed with fiery accents? Maybe a blazer with a cherry-colored silk blouse underneath?

Chloe Sevigny (alongside various NYC hipsters) stars and skates in the video for “Any Fun” by Jason Schwartzman’s musical outlet, Coconut Records. You might remember that Chloe used to hang out in New York City’s Washington Square Park with skater kids after lying to her parents about her whereabouts. Well, apparently she learned a few tricks when she was skipping school. Chloe’s no stranger to music videos, either, having starred in Sonic Youth’s “Sugar Kane” video in the ’90s. Since she’s such a trendsetter, maybe we’ll all start wearing Mexican Baja hoodies in a few months. Or not. We still haven’t gotten on her whole socks with sandals bandwagon. Keep reading »
