Chloe Grace Moretz Hairstyle

Here’s one of my favorite Tweets from the past week: “Very interested in this high school where the least attractive girl is Chloe Moretz.” I mean, right?! Case in point: the breathtakingly lovely Ms. Moretz, shown here at the premiere of the just-released “Carrie” remake. I am obsessed with her center-parted side braid, which is barely a braid anymore because it’s all sexily messed up. It looks semi-easy to recreate for anyone with long, thick hair — just part hair in the middle, pull it to the side, braid loosely over your shoulder, and then pull random pieces out for a messy look. You’ll instantly be the ugliest girl at school! Like, in a good way. [Fame/Flynet]

Usually I’m pretty meh on remakes of classic films, but I must admit I’ve been pumped about the reboot of Stephen King’s “Carrie” ever since Chloe Moretz and Julianne Moore were cast as the world’s most dysfunctional mother-daughter duo, and Kimberly Pierce was attached as the film’s director. Pierce, previously known for the film “Boys Don’t Cry,” is kind of an unexpected but exciting choice of director, and by the looks of the new trailer, it appears her remake sticks quite closely to the original film, albeit with some modern day updates. What do you think? Does it look as creepy as the original? I’m especially psyched to see Moore’s take on Carrie’s fanatical mother. You know she has a creepy as fuck side to her…

Chloe Moretz has the youth (she was born in 1997, you guys, how is that possible?) and attitude it takes to pull off even the funkiest looks, so I love it when she takes fashion risks on the red carpet. And I really loved this dress when I thought it was printed with a sort of pop art eye exam, but then I realized it’s actually a jumble of letters from the Versace logo. Now I’m torn. What do you guys think? Is her label-centric look tacky or fabulous? [Photo: Splash News]

Chloe Moretz In “Taxi Driver”-Styled Spread

In the 1976 film “Taxi Driver,” Jodie Foster plays Iris, a teenage prostitute with whom Robert DeNiro’s Travis Bickle forms a bond. The film–and Foster–received criticism for having such a young girl play the role: Foster was just 13 at the time. Still, apparently fashion mag Harper’s Bazaar finds “Taxi Driver”‘s central relationship not creepy, but sweet–which is why they’ve posed teen actress Chloe Moretz here with Keanu Reeves in a scene reminiscent of the film. Moretz, only 14, admitted that she’s still too young to appreciate “Taxi Driver.” “My mom won’t let me watch it,” she told the magazine. Maybe she shouldn’t be emulating the character then, either?
