Chloe Grace Moretz Hairstyle

Here’s one of my favorite Tweets from the past week: “Very interested in this high school where the least attractive girl is Chloe Moretz.” I mean, right?! Case in point: the breathtakingly lovely Ms. Moretz, shown here at the premiere of the just-released “Carrie” remake. I am obsessed with her center-parted side braid, which is barely a braid anymore because it’s all sexily messed up. It looks semi-easy to recreate for anyone with long, thick hair — just part hair in the middle, pull it to the side, braid loosely over your shoulder, and then pull random pieces out for a messy look. You’ll instantly be the ugliest girl at school! Like, in a good way. [Fame/Flynet]

Usually I’m pretty meh on remakes of classic films, but I must admit I’ve been pumped about the reboot of Stephen King’s “Carrie” ever since Chloe Moretz and Julianne Moore were cast as the world’s most dysfunctional mother-daughter duo, and Kimberly Pierce was attached as the film’s director. Pierce, previously known for the film “Boys Don’t Cry,” is kind of an unexpected but exciting choice of director, and by the looks of the new trailer, it appears her remake sticks quite closely to the original film, albeit with some modern day updates. What do you think? Does it look as creepy as the original? I’m especially psyched to see Moore’s take on Carrie’s fanatical mother. You know she has a creepy as fuck side to her…

Chloe Moretz has the youth (she was born in 1997, you guys, how is that possible?) and attitude it takes to pull off even the funkiest looks, so I love it when she takes fashion risks on the red carpet. And I really loved this dress when I thought it was printed with a sort of pop art eye exam, but then I realized it’s actually a jumble of letters from the Versace logo. Now I’m torn. What do you guys think? Is her label-centric look tacky or fabulous? [Photo: Splash News]

Chloe Moretz In “Taxi Driver”-Styled Spread

In the 1976 film “Taxi Driver,” Jodie Foster plays Iris, a teenage prostitute with whom Robert DeNiro’s Travis Bickle forms a bond. The film–and Foster–received criticism for having such a young girl play the role: Foster was just 13 at the time. Still, apparently fashion mag Harper’s Bazaar finds “Taxi Driver”‘s central relationship not creepy, but sweet–which is why they’ve posed teen actress Chloe Moretz here with Keanu Reeves in a scene reminiscent of the film. Moretz, only 14, admitted that she’s still too young to appreciate “Taxi Driver.” “My mom won’t let me watch it,” she told the magazine. Maybe she shouldn’t be emulating the character then, either? Hailee Steinfeld, Chloe Moretz & Elle Fanning Cry For “Love” Magazine

You guys already know how I feel about turning ultra young girls into supermodels. However, I’d be remiss in not letting you know about these three covers of the new issue of Love magazine, featuring Chloe Moretz, Elle Fanning and Hailee Steinfeld. Shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot, each cover features one of the girls in ethereal glowing light, crying. I suppose it has something to do with the heightened emotional state of teenage girldom or something. Mamas, don’t let your babies grow up to be cover models. Check out the two other covers after the jump.[MDX] Keep reading »

Show Us Your Most Stylish Teen Self!

The other day we saw a list of the 10 most stylish kids under 20. A lot of the usual suspects were on the list: actress Chloe Moretz, singer Willow Smith, and blogger Tavi Gevinson. These girls all have great style–but it helps that they have stylists, unending budgets and access to top designers to make it happen. We didn’t have that when we were teens, but still, we had pretty wild style when we were younger. Now it’s your turn to share. We want your teenage photos! Were you channeling Angela Chase? Were you a preppy gossip girl? A mallternative punk? We want to see it!

Send us a picture — with a description of what you’re wearing — that best encapsulates your teenage style, and we’ll include them in a giant Frisky reader fashion slideshow. Send your stylish teen images to me at Julie@TheFrisky.com. Keep reading »

Inspiration Board: Chloe Moretz’s Simply Chic Look

OK, so Chloe Moretz is only 13, but that doesn’t mean we can’t worship her style, which is quite mature for her age. Her look of a brown-and-black striped top and thick black shorts would be appropriate for a casual office, dinner with friends, or trip to the theater. So we just had to figure out how to duplicate the look. Get the deets after the jump. Keep reading »

We See Chick Flicks: “Let Me In”

Starring Chloe Moretz and Kodi Smit-Mcphee
Directed by Matt Reeves

You’ve probably heard all the buzz and controversy about “Let Me In,” an American adaptation of the Swedish vampire flick “Let the Right One In.” Those who love the original swear that “Let Me In” can’t be half as good. I have to say that I really can’t recall any part of “Let the Right One In,” even though I saw it about a year ago. Maybe that says that it really wasn’t all that remarkable to me? Or maybe it was such an intense horror film that my brain has safely blocked it out of my memory for good reason? I don’t know, and I’m not going to get into the debate of which one is better. All I know is “Let Me In” had me completely captivated from beginning to end, and I haven’t been able to get the film off my mind since I saw it on Monday night. Keep reading »
