Finally, A Red Lipstick For Modest Pouts

Sadly — and please, get your hankies ready because this is a tearjerker — I was born with no upper lip. My bottom lip is modest, but the top lip is so thin it’s practically non-existent. For as long as I can remember, I’ve always seen lipstick as something that would only draw attention to my miniscule pout. Oh, but I dreamed about wearing it, particularly in a glamourous shade of red! I thought it was not meant to be until one day, a tube of Charlotte Ronson’s Petite Kisses lipstick in “Fabiola” landed on my desk and I thought, Oh hell, might as well give it a try. And what do you know, it looked good. It’s not that it made my thin lips look like they were torn off Angelina Jolie’s face; no, the wine stain-esque color enhanced the shape of my lips which, until then, I hadn’t realize was quite lovely. I love this lipstick so much, I wear it every day now and am convinced the color would look amazing on everyone. Get it when you buy Ronson’s limited edition “Masquerade” set from Sephora, which also comes with another of her lipsticks in a brighter pink and an eye shadow palette.

Sunny With A Chance Of Stripes

The ’70s are back in a big way this spring and summer and this cute little sundress from Charlotte Ronson’s I Heart Ronson line for J.C. Penney has all the elements. The multi-colored chevron stripes on top give the illusion of a narrow(er) waist, while the vertical stripes on the floaty skirt elongate. We love the vintage vibe of the braided straps and brown belt, plus, we’ve never been able to resist a frock with pockets. Um, and it’s on sale? Consider us sold.

First Look: I Heart Ronson Spring 2011

We’ve been huge fans of I Heart Ronson, designer Charlotte Ronson‘s junior’s line for JCPenney, since 2008 because it features really cute clothes at affordable prices. The spring collection, slated to arrive in JCPenney stores in February, doesn’t disappoint. There are several sweet dresses and shorts that will fit right in with the basics in your wardrobe already. Look past the over-styling in the I Heart Ronson spring lookbook and you’ll see what I mean. I’m especially in love with the white shirtdress after the jump because it will be perfect on a late spring day. On A Scale Of 1-10: How Cute Is Charlotte Ronson’s JCP Juniors Line?

With all these newfangled things like the internet, iPads, I-Dosing … we often wonder if it’s better to be a teenager now or if we would keep our adolescence in its original era. One thing to consider: the profusion of cute juniors lines. One of them we would consider shopping would be Charlotte Ronson‘s collection for JC Penney. Her fall lookbook is out, and we’re pretty keen on the sophisticated styling. It’s got a bit of a Brigitte Bardot vibe that’s more vibrant and punky. It definitely gives us some ideas for playing around with layers this coming season. Of course … we could just as well purchase some of the pieces for ourselves. We are grown-ups now and allowed to do what we want, right?

La Lohan has reportedly been banned from Jill Stuart’s New York Fashion Week show after being labeled a “brand damager.” Apparently, Lindz is no longer worth the (possibly bad?) press she brings to an appearance. And as if that didn’t sting badly enough, her ex Samantha Ronson and designer-sister Charlotte Ronson won’t allow Lindsay at Charlotte’s show or after-party either.
