Since bringing her son Jackson home in March, Charlize Theron is becoming an expert on diaper duty and bedtime stories. The actress reveals a favorite funny book: Go the F-ck to Sleep.
“A lot of people have sent me these children’s books, and there’s this amazing book, a best-seller called Go the F-ck to Sleep,” Charlize tells MTV News. “This book was good for me because it made me realize that I don’t need to judge myself right now.” Read more…
God, I love Charlize Theron. She hit up “The Colbert Report” last night and gives as good as she gets. There’s the usual movie promotion blah-blah-blah about “Snow White and the Huntsman,” but she and Stephen also took the conversation to an interesting place while discussing beauty and narcissism. “I don’t think narcissists are just vain. I think they are obsessed with beauty because it symbolizes power and self-worth,” she said. “It’s sad this story was written in 18-something-something and this story still resonates.” It’s interesting to hear one of the most gorgeous women on the planet to voice an opinion like this. I first realized that Charlize Theron would be the perfect Evil Queen from “Snow White” when I saw her in “Young Adult.” Wildly different movies in every way, no doubt, but the main takeaway? Theron knows how to play a vile bitch with such delicious and riveting energy that you almost root for her. And Queen Ravenna in the upcoming “Snow White and the Huntsman” (opening this weekend!) is as detestably evil as they come. The film is already getting good reviews from outlets like New York mag and I wouldn’t be surprised if Theron was recognized come awards season. Check out our three interviews with the actress above! Charlize Theron, apparently, actually sat down for an interview with British tabloid the Sun, where she dropped this odd tidbit: “I had no teeth until I was 11.”
She explains that, due to a heavy regimen of antibiotics for jaundice as a child, her teeth “rotted” and had to be removed, leaving her with “fangs.” “I never had milk teeth,” she explains. “That was tough, you know, being in school having photos taken while I was pretending I had teeth. It was hideous.” Read more …
Charlize Theron talks about juggling life as a single mother and having a rough childhood to Britain’s The Sun. On raising 6-month-old Jackson – she admits she gets little sleep.
She says, “I’ve never felt more creative and with more energy but on the tiniest amount of sleep. I never knew I needed that little sleep. I always had eight hours and now it’s, ‘Wow, OK, you can function on just four’. But Jackson is great. I’ve always been very aware of balance and, even before I had a child, my life always takes priority to my work.” Read more …
“Snow White and the Huntsman” is poised to be one of the biggest blockbusters of the year, and it owes the pre-release fanfare not only to its subject (it is Snow White, after all) but also to its key cast of bonafide eye candy: Kristen Stewart (hot), Chris Hemsworth (hotter), and Charlize Theron (hottest).

Charlize Theron is one of my top lady crushes, and I know I’m not alone: she’s fierce, gorgeous, acerbically hilarious, and even a self-declared bitch, which is a quality I greatly value in a human being. Most importantly, Charlize has a great sartorial sense with nary a fashion fail to be found. I don’t always love Stella McCartney’s designs (ahem, Rihanna’s onesie) but I’m head over heels for the intriguing cobalt frock Charlize chose for the Parisian premiere of her new film “Prometheus,” directed by Ridley Scott. It’s a simple dress in style and shape, but the Baroque embossing is stunningly intricate and fits the regal actress (and new mom) like an especially seductive glove. Would it be fitting to say j’adore?
