Attention sappy movie buffs! Check out the newly released trailer for “The Vow.” The romantic drama centers on Paige (Rachel McAdams), who loses five years of her memory following a terrible car crash. In her amnesiac state, she has no recollection of her present marriage to Leo (Channing Tatum), and believes she’s still engaged to ex-fiance Jeremy (Scott Speedman) from years before. And so the classic formula begins: boy loses girls heart via traumatic means … boy must win her heart all over again! Rachel McAdams, swoon. Channing Tatum, pure sex. “The Vow” … eh. It looks as though it’ll have the quality of “Dear John” mingled with a dash of the plot from “50 First Dates.” We’ll probably end up seeing it because we love Rachel, and let’s face it, having her play the lead in a Nicholas Sparks-written romance reminds us of “The Notebook”‘s Allie and Noah all over again! Reasons why the reboot of “21 Jump Street” might suck: The Holly Robinson or Dustin Nguyen characters seem to be almost nonexistent. Also, Channing Tatum is a poor excuse for Johnny Depp. But who are we kidding? Ice Cube as Captain Dickson? Okay, okay. We’ll be seeing it in theaters (or at least on Netflix streaming).
This week, we caught a glimpse of both Channing Tatum and Joseph Gordon-Levitt rocking bald heads. Both hairdos are apparently for upcoming movies. Channing’s freshly shaved head was noticed by the papparazi as he walked around in LA, and many are assuming it’s for his role as Duke in “GI Joe 2: Cobra Strikes,” which has just started filming.
Meanwhile, Joseph’s shorn locks are for a very different movie. Keep reading »
By now, it is a widely known fact that before Channing Tatum made it in Hollywood, he was making it rain in an all-guy revue called “Male Encounter” at a strip club in Florida. And now Channing will be taking that real life experience and using it to inspire a role. Channing will star in “Magic Mike,” a story of a male stripper and his proteges. “This was a wild and pivotal time in my life,” Channing said in a statement. “And I couldn’t be more thrilled to go down the rabbit hole with Steven.”
And by Steven, he means Steven Soderbergh, who is coming out of retirement to direct the movie. Keep reading »
“I hope I’m a good husband. I always put the toilet seat down. I grew up with women, so I would get in big trouble if I didn’t put the toilet seat back down. It’s been ingrained in me.”
—Channing Tatum divulges the secret to keeping his relationship happy at a screening of HBO’s “Earth Made of Glass,” the documentary he produced alongside wife Jenna Dewan. Well, it’s no “argue naked,” but still good advice for men out there. [People] Keep reading »
Behold, Channing Tatum looking smoking hot in the March issue of GQ. This photo spread should put to bed rumors that he chubbed up after filming “The Eagle.” Apparently, the not-released-yet interview that accompanies the photos is even better. In it, Channing reveals why he became a stripper, calls Jagermeister the “nectar of the gods,” and tries to find his cell phone after a night of debauchery. [PopEater]

Channing Tatum‘s just a boy with a new haircut. And while lots of folks are blasting it as the must uggs thing ever, I think it’s cute and would like to defend it. Why? Because it’s the same buzzed-on-one-side, long-and-floppy-on-the-other style that my middle school crush (hey, Ganon!) sported, circa 1992. Sure, we were still wearing Hypercolor then, but whatever. Ahhh, “21 Jump Street.” The show that introduced us to our crush of the past 23 years, Johnny Depp. The premise was a little weak—a group of young-looking undercover officers investigate crimes committed by and to those who aren’t yet of age. (Check out the first 10 minutes of the pilot above.) Now, “Jump Street” is headed for the big screen. The stars attached? Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill. Wait, do we smell a buddy cop movie? Suffice it to say that Channing is no Johnny, but still—this could be pretty good. [EW] Keep reading »
Is Winona Ryder having sex with Channing Tatum? Well, not exactly. The one-time “Heathers” star and former Johnny Depp paramour is, however, slated to costar with the young hunk in an upcoming untitled movie being referred to in Hollywood as “Cheaters.” Directed by Ron Howard, the all-star cast includes Vince Vaughn, Jennifer Connelly, and Kevin James. According to The Hollywood Reporter, “The script, by Alan Loeb, centers on a man (Vaughn) who discovers that his best friend [James]‘s wife (Ryder) is cheating and finds himself in a moral dilemma of whether he should tell the guy.” Bonus factoid: “Tatum would play Ryder’s tattooed and pierced lover.” Hawt.
