Would You Have Your Pets Be A Part Of Your Wedding, A La Miranda Lambert?

The self-shot venison dinner, the cowboy boots for the bridesmaids, the wearing of her mom’s wedding dress, the fishing honeymoon—yes, we have been thoroughly obsessed with Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton’s sweet downhome wedding. But now a new detail has reeled me in even further. Apparently, Miranda and Blake were adamant about their dogs—chihuahua Cher, chihuahua-pug Delta, and terrier Delilah—being a big part of their nuptials. The three pups walked down the aisle with one of Miranda’s boot-clad bridesmaids. The doggies even got their own rhinestoned bandanas and collars for the occasion. “They were rock stars! Total rock stars, ” says Miranda’s publicist/wedding planner. “They were tiny little representatives, but they got a lot of laughs and attention. They were right in the big middle of everything … [Miranda] wanted a place where everybody would be comfortable, would have a great time, just feel at home and her dogs could be a part of it.”

Country stars Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton, who you can currently see on “The Voice,” are getting hitched this weekend. And their tweets about their wedding preparations are kind of refreshing. “I am so excited,” Miranda wrote on Wednesday. “Got nails touched up. One last wal mart (sic) run and I should be good!” Then yesterday, she posted the above photo of a package of deer cutlets. “Last thing loaded for the wedding!!! Harvested by …. me!!!!!” she said.

LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian are no longer “living in sin,” as my grandma would have said. On Friday night, the two got married, trading their vows—which we hope included the line, “I promise not to fall for my next Lifetime movie co-star”—in front of 40 guests in Malibu. LeAnn quickly took to the web to share her excitement. “Eddie and I are overwhelmed by the amount of lovely well wishes. We are blessed and…. I’m Mrs. Cibrian!!!!!” she wrote on Twitter. Later in the weekend, she typed, “Happy Easter Sunday my beautiful friends! Coffee… me the computer…. Eddie the Sunday newspaper…. waves crashing…. holding hands… nice way to start it. My first Easter as a WIFE!”

I remember someone telling me years ago that burglars look through wedding sections and obituaries to pick their targets. If someone in a family is getting married or if there’s a family funeral—chances are no one will be home. Looks like someone used this method to break into sweet Canadian crooner Michael Buble’s house while he was getting hitched over the weekend. It was widely publicized that his wedding to Argentinean actress Luisana Loreley Lopilato de la Torre was going down in her home country. So burglars disabled his home’s security system and made off with a bunch of loot. “I will not let this ruin the happiest day of my life,” Luisana said when the theft was discovered. Over the weekend, Prince Harry threw Prince William his bachelor party. A while ago, rumors circulated that Snoop Dogg would be performing at the party to end all parties—he even wrote a totally inappropriate anthem for the occasion called “Wet.” But we have a feeling that didn’t actually happen. And no, we can’t be sure because the details of the party are a carefully guarded secret. “I can confirm that Prince William’s stag party has taken place,” a royal representative said. “It was an entirely private event.”

Prepared to be stunned, ladies? Girls Gone Wild founder and general sleazebag Joe Francis has been left by his wife of less than two months. I know! I didn’t see it coming either. Frankly, what I did find shocking was that any woman would marry him in the first place, but I guess there’s a green zebra for everyone. So, who would marry this jerk in the first place? That’d be Christina McLarty, an entertainment reporter for L.A.’s KCAL9. She went to NYU, is the niece of Bill Clinton’s former chief-of-staff Mark McLarty, and she’s from Arkansas. I guess we all make mistakes. Apparently, she was Francis’ girlfriend of four years. The two were married last month in a lavish wedding held at the groom’s Mexico estate. “I’m not sure if she is still driving the S500 Mercedes he let her use or if she still has her $500K engagement ring, but she definitely moved out of his Bel Air home,” a source told Radar. Are Elephants The New Wedding Trend?

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden tied the knot this weekend, two kiddos and four years later. The two got hitched at Lionel Richie’s estate, and Nicole wore a strapless Marchesa get-up. While there’s no word on whether any dancing on the ceiling went down during the reception, there is one very curious element to the ceremony—apparently, a trained elephant was led into the proceedings. Which is interesting, because when Katy Perry and Russell Brand got married in October, their procession included two elephants.
