Gwyneth’s Pullover Proves Celebs Are Not Just Like Us

Have happy memories of your mom picking you up from school when you were little? (Unless you were a latchkey kid like some of us, in which case you are screwed up for life, but anyway.) One thing we do not remember is mom wearing ultra stylish designer clothes to the school grounds. Here, Gwyneth Paltrow looks deceivingly casual whilst collecting little Apple and Moses, but look again! That dressed-down fleece pullover? It’s actually called the Cocoon, it’s by Obakki, and retails for $782 at Scoop Nationwide. Why, we can’t even remember the last time we spent 800 bucks on a sweater. [Popsugar] Keep reading »

Demi Moore’s Youth Extending Beauty Secret Revealed!

While most of us suspect Demi Moore‘s exceptional ability to seemingly grow younger-looking by the day has to do with scalpels and needles, she insists there’s a far more natural (yet creepier) regimen at hand: “I was in Austria doing a cleanse and part of the treatment was leech therapy. These aren’t just swamp leeches though — we are talking about highly trained medical leeches. These are not some low level scavengers — we’re talking high level blood suckers,” she said. Highbrow indeed! We know leeches have been used in the medical field for years, but have no clue how they improve your complexion. In other beauty news, Moore will likely be the next to debut a celebrity line. She’s reportedly in talks with beauty giant Helena Rubenstein to develop a new product range. No word on whether blood-sucking worms will be utilized as key ingredients. [IOL] Keep reading »

Pete Wentz Needs A Makeunder Intervention

Why hello there, Pete Wentz, glad you’re here. We have something rather important to discuss with you. It has come to our attention that you’re wearing far too much makeup, even if your intention was to make it “pop” on the red carpet. In fact, we’ve tolerated your guyliner ways for a long time now, but when you show up to the party wearing more paint than your girl and your name is not David Bowie, then that’s when you know you need to shut it down, my friend. The heavy pancake foundation (in the wrong shade for your skin tone we might add), the extravagant eye makeup, the shimmery lip gloss — it’s all too much to take in. Now go get yourself some industrial-strength makeup remover and get the hell out of here. Keep reading »

Kelly Osbourne’s Style Rules Actually Make Sense

A few short years ago, Kelly Osbourne was known solely for her fashion faux pas, wild hair and makeup, and drug addictions. So why did she pen a style book? Well, as any “Dancing with the Stars” fan will tell you, Kelly has lived through her well-documented fashion mistakes and has learned from them, coming out of the “tough years” very poised. She reveals her style tips in Fierce in a way that only Kelly can, but we’ve got a few takeaways for you after the jump. Keep reading »

Mel B’s Red Carpet FAIL

Apparently, Hollywood pressure can really get to a (spice) girl. Mel B is married to some producer dude who had something to do with some new movie called, “Bad Lieutenant: Port Of Call New Orleans” that we will likely never see. It premiered last night. Whatever. But The Daily Mail reports that when she realized “she would be sharing the red carpet with A-listers Eva Mendes and Charlize Theron, she knew she would have to go the extra mile to get attention.” Oddly, she kind of went the opposite of an extra mile and uh, fell a little short. Seriously. Tragically. Short. [The Daily Mail]

Cameron Diaz’s Topknot: Sexy Or Sloppy?

Yesterday the new, creepy-looking movie “The Box” premiered in N.Y.C., and whether you’re anti or not, you have to admit its star, Cameron Diaz, looked really fresh and cute. Gorgeous gold necklace, classy oyster-colored silk dress, pitch-perfect makeup and a messy topknot as a hair styling finale for the ensemble. Maybe her hairstylist was inspired by all the spring 2010 shows where models strolled down the runway sporting the look (like this more extreme version at Marc Jacobs, right). Personally, I’m torn. I’m a huge proponent of messy hair paired with more formal attire — it looks wicked modern and is so much more interesting than your standard stale blowout. At the same time, this is how I wear my hair every day in yoga class, so I have a hard time enthusing over the look. The topknot is definitely a trend we’ll be seeing more of, like, erm, the all-pervasive bowl cut. So, is it working for you? I’ll give it this: It’s one updo that’s certainly easy to recreate at home. Keep reading »

Lindsay Lohan’s Latest 6126 Leggings Collection Is Weird

We gave you a sneak peek at Lindsay Lohan‘s Spring 2010 collection of 6126 Leggings earlier this month. Well, a few more ad campaign photos have hit the web, and we have to say we’re really disappointed. There’s only so much you can do with a pair of leggings, but briefs-exposure shouldn’t be one of them, right? Well, we’ll give her credit for not jumping on the sequined-leggings bandwagon, for now. After the jump, check out two more photos from the ad campaign shot by celebrity photographers Markus Klinko and Indrani and styled by GK Reid, who will star in Bravo’s new reality show “Double Exposure.” Keep reading »

Just Another Monday Night

Oh Lady! Gaga looked like she was still in a Halloween state of mind at the Accessories Council’s ACE Awards yesterday evening, where she was presented with a Stylemaker award for her “genius” use of extraneous ornamentation. Sadly, wigs were harmed in the making of this headpiece. [NYC, 11/2/09] Keep reading »

Blake Lively Has A Serious “Off” Day

Blake Lively has established herself as something of a fashion maven, but even the sartorially adventurous have dress-down days. Or maybe she’s just in costume for the film she’s working on right now, “The Town.” Either way, she looks a little bummed out about being photographed wearing this outfit. [Boston, 11/2/09] Keep reading »
