Chris Hansen knows all about catching people red-handed on camera. Since 2004, as the host of “To Catch a Predator,” he’s worked with law enforcement as they pose as underage girls online and ask pedophiles to meet them at home. When the front door opens—bam!—there’s Hansen and a camera crew. The dudes do some seriously awkward verbal backpedaling before they are cuffed. Well, apparently, this time Hansen is the one caught on camera. The National Enquirer claims to have footage that shows he’s cheating on his wife. Keep reading »
I sort of love the idea of richie rich celebrities gathering in swank hotel rooms for illegal high-stakes poker games with an $100,000 minimum buy-in. Apparently, this is what Tobey Maguire, Leonardo DiCaprio, Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, and other assorted Hollywood high-rollers have been up to. I imagine there were lots of cigars at these games, not to mention tomfoolery that would make a gossip columnist drool all over themselves.
So how did we find out about these underground poker games? Because Maguire, along with Nick Cassavettes (the director of “The Notebook”) and Gabe Kaplan (the star of “Welcome Back Kotter,” who I’m guessing is like the crazy older uncle of the group) just got sued over them. Keep reading »
Over the past few years working at The Frisky, I have covered an exorbitant number of sex scandals. It’s pretty clear to all of us that sex scandals are cropping up more and more frequently, for both politicians and celebrities. It’s unclear whether people are stepping out more on their marriages, or if technology (texting, Twitter, Facebook) leaves people more vulnerable to being caught, or if our 15-seconds-of-fame culture leads second and third parties to step forward and soak up the limelight more than they would have in the past. But it’s clear that something is certainly up. Insert Weiner joke here.
Oddly, through the sex scandal onslaught, I feel like we’ve learned an awful lot. After the jump, 45 lessons—both big and small—that recent sex scandals have taught us. Who knew they were so educational? Keep reading »
It was only a matter of time before Mildred “Patty” Baena, the woman suspected of carrying Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s love child, talked to the press. She has given her first interview to an unusual source, the UK’s Hello magazine. In the article, Mildred explains that she didn’t know right off the bat that her 13-year-old son, Joseph, was Arnold’s son. “It was as Joseph grew and I started to see the resemblance that I wondered. It became more apparent as time went on,” she said.
So how did she break the news to Joseph? Keep reading »
Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton had one of the most tumultuous celebrity romances of all time. I mean, not so many couples get divorced twice—you know? Elizabeth and Richard first met in 1962 while she played everyone’s favorite lady pharaoh and he took on the role of Marc Antony in “Cleopatra.” They were both married to other people at the time, but their intense chemistry was too much to resist and they began an affair. Two years later, they married. But things weren’t happily ever, as seems pretty obvious when you see them in “Who’s Afraid of Virgina Woolf?”—it’s like their intense love/hate of each other seemed to ooze off-screen. In 1974, they divorced, only to remarry 16 months later. A year after that, they were dunzo for real.
Elizabeth and Richard’s story was captured in the book Furious Love. And now it has been optioned by Paramount Pictures. Even better, Martin Scorcese is set to direct the pic. Keep reading »
Say cheese! Apparently Arnold Schwarzenegger took great joy in getting the entire family together for photo ops — the wife, the kids, the mistress, and the love child. That takes some giant balls right there. I’m wondering if Maria Shriver found this at all strange? Awkward family photo, indeed. [TMZ] Keep reading »
It’s hard to imagine that Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s four kids aren’t pretty pissed at him right about now. On Tuesday, Patrick Schwarzenegger, 17, tweeted, “Some days you feel like s**t, some days you want to quit and just be normal for a bit, yet i love my family till death do us apart.” But on Wednesday, he changed his name on Twitter from Patrick Schwarzenegger to Patrick Shriver. Which certainly signals some anger.
In addition to the possibility that Arnold has two love children with former staff members, the most recent details to come out are pretty terrible. Keep reading »
Yesterday, The Los Angeles Times gave us several details about the woman with whom Arnold Schwarzenegger fathered a child while he was married to Maria Shriver. We know that the child is more than 10-years-old since this all went down “over a decade ago.” We know that the mother worked for Arnold and Maria for 20 years and retired sometime in 2011. Gawker eked ahead in the race to identify this former Schwarzenegger staff member yesterday when they claimed she was Tammy Tousignant, a flight attendant on Arnold’s private jet for many years. (Could Arnold be a member of the Mile High Club?) Apparently, the Daily Mail UK broke this story … way back in 2003, before Arnold was voted into the California governor’s mansion. Reporter Mary Leigh wrote eight years ago:
“Schwarzenegger is facing new and damaging claims that he also cheated on Maria with a voluptuous California blonde named Tammy Baker Tousignant. Tammy was in her late 20s when Schwarzenegger first strode on to the chartered private plane on which she was flight attendant. He was instantly beguiled by her, and soon, according to several sources, they became romantically involved. ‘Everyone knew that she was Arnold’s lover—everyone,’ said a source.”
According to the story, three sources claim that Tammy bragged about her son, Tanner—who conveniently bares the name of Arnold’s character in “Total Recall” and is now in college and—being Arnold’s.
Buuuuut, there’s a problem. Keep reading »
On Monday, after finding out that she’d been sentenced to 120 days in jail and 480 hours of community service, including a large chunk brandishing a broom at the Los Angeles County morgue, Lindsay Lohan rolled by “The Tonight Show” for an interview. The audience had been expecting Kristin Chenoweth, so when the much more scandaltastic LiLo appeared, they gave her a standing ovation. In the interview, which aired last night, Jay Leno asked her all about her recent woes. Lindsay said that her sentence was “shocking” and had “left me numb.”
But she also stressed that she sees this as merely a hurdle. Keep reading »
