Olivia Palermo, full-time socialite, snotty girl who shops, and St. Bart’s vacationer, is just like us in one very tiny way — she shops at ASOS! And wears dresses that are actually affordable! Like this cute paisley number, which I found so you could copycat her look. The stacks of cash no doubt stuffed in that tote of hers are not included unforch. I can only do so much. Keep reading »
Here, I present to you an artful handmade triptych of some of the cool, casual stuff Lady Gaga has been wearing the past few days, should you be interested or in need of wacky style inspiration or something. I find the one in the middle to be particularly baffling. My one word of advice for Gaga would be to stop wearing clothing items that require the assistance of one or two men merely to remain upright. Who wants to rely on men for anything, let alone permit them to be the only thing that stands between you and a face full of sidewalk? [Photos: INFphoto.com]
This is the kind of pitch perfect get up Alexa Chung wears to the friggin’ airport, you guys. Is it any wonder so many of have tried and failed to pull off her bangs? In overalls, a simple button down and a well-arranged trench, she makes the mere mortals flying with her look like disheveled garbage trolls. Alexa, will you sell me your style secrets? I’d pay top dollar, swear. [Photos: Fame/Flynet]
Class, please get out your pen and paper and be prepared to take notes. This is how you dress to fly in both comfort and style. Miranda Kerr’s striped jersey dress makes it easy to sit cross-legged in first class without showcha her chocha. Her flat sandals are cute and easy to kick off before walking through security. And her bright scarf and denim jacket will keep her warm when the plane’s temperature drops to “annoyingly chilly.” I fly coach, but I’ll be doing it Kerr-style going forward. Get the deets on the outfit I recreated, after the jump! Keep reading »
Of all the international film festivals, we imagine that the Venice International Film Festival is the tastiest. That’s because it’s centered in Venice, which is home to some of the best pizza and gelato on the planet. Not that we could imagine attendees like Frieda Pinto and Carey Mulligan partaking, per se. No, no, they’re too busy walking the red carpet during events like the Miu Miu Women’s Tales party, a celebration of female filmmakers and women’s stories. Attendees included, from left to right: “Downton Abbey”‘s Michelle Dockery, Gabrielle Union, Carey Mulligan, and Frieda Pinto. All of them must have gotten a memo about red and black, because each showed up in relatively the same color scheme. But whose look do you like best?
