It was a family affair at last night’s premiere of Beyonce’s HBO documentary “Life Is But A Dream,” with both Knowles ladies walking the red carpet in daringly different looks. On one side, we have the star of the show, Beyonce, rocking a gorgeous, glamorous and glittering gown (try to say that 10 times fast). On the other side, we have her edgy lil’ sis, Solange, not wearing pants. I happen to think she looks amazing. Maybe there are shorts under there? I can’t tell. Whatever. When you’re Beyonce’s sister, you can wear whatever you want to her party. [Photos: Fame/Flynet]

Well Played: Beyonce & Solange Both Bring It In Different Ways To The “Life Is But A Dream” Premiere
The ELLE Style Awards, held annually in London, celebrate the year’s achievements in both fashion and show business, with accolades spanning from Red Carpet Designer of the Year (Roksanda Ilincic) and International Designer of the Year (Stella McCartney) to Best Actor (Bradley Cooper) and Best TV Show (“Game of Thrones”). Needless to say, they draw in a very stylish crowd each time around; plus, it’s just better because it’s British. Check out the looks we loved (and loathed, and the ones that made us ask, “who did this to you?”) from the event in the gallery above!
“What is this shape?” “I like brown.” “Did we meet on my Cotton commercial?” “You remind me of Joseph Gordon-Levitt!” “I like you, and I’m going to call you Fred.” “Fred, will you brush my hair and tell me how pretty I am while I drift off to sleep?” “Oh Fred, you are quite the silent type.”
Just kidding! Zooey was filming a scene on “The New Girl.” She definitely doesn’t hang out with footballs. [Photo: Fame/Flynet]
About six months ago, I made a somewhat ill-advised purchase of an expensive pair of wedge sneakers. I wore them a couple times and then they’ve been sitting in my closet ever since, even as wedge sneakers have become more ubiquitous. I just didn’t quite know how to wear them in a way that was casual and yet feminine. Seeing how Jessica Alba is wearing hers — with a menswear-inspired double-breasted coat, skinny jeans, and lots of cream — I think I finally get it. Check out how to get the look yourself, after the jump! Best of all, these sneaks are less than $40! Keep reading »
The BAFTAs are like the British version of the Academy Awards, which is to say, they’re the more refined and with better accents. Here’s what they wore to the festivities. Tell us what you like — and loathe — in the comments!
Marion Cotillard might have gotten caught in the rain at the British Academy of Film And Television Arts Awards. Or maybe she’s just doing her best Jennifer Lawrence-at-the-Golden-Globes impression. Either way, this sunshine yellow Christian Dior number looks amazing, with or without the added sexiness of the sheer panel (which the designer swears is intentionally there). Intentional or not, it’s been totally eclipsed by the funny faces Cotillard made on the red carpet.
The 2013 Grammys were a weird affair, no? “Hosted” by LL Cool J, who was barely seen, and featuring way more musical performances than actual awards, the Grammys are a bizarre fete. Nobody really thinks they’re that on the ball or relevant, but still, we watch. This year, theere was fashion drama, as the Grammys sent out a dress code beforehand to make sure that nobody showed too much boob or butt during the broadcast. I can safely say there was no major nipple action, but after three and a half hours, I was glad it was over, if only so I could stop making that throw up noise every time fun. was on the screen.
Let’s look at some clothes, okay?
Jennifer Lawrence was spotted at Heathrow Airport yesterday, in an very incognito trench coat, brimmed hat and sunglasses. Maybe she’s doing promotion for “Silver Linings Playbook,” but I prefer to think she’s in London for a secret rendezvous with zombie ex-boyfriend (and native Brit) Nicholas Hoult. Normally, I would be super annoyed with another lady landing my celebrity crush, but J.Law just seems super cool and down to earth, and me, Anonymous Regular Citizen Person, feels strangely invested in her happiness. Maybe I’m a stalker? In any case, my love for Lawrence is not blind — I’m not crazy about this stupid purple fedora. But what do you think?
It’s always fun to see how teen stars modify their adolescent looks into sustainable adult style. Here, it seems Ashlee Simpson’s gone the full Stefani, in a leather leggings and high bun. Give her another couple years and she’ll have this perfected! [Pacific Coast News]
