Last night was the MTV Movie Awards, which I didn’t watch because I am an adult. But I did hear that Taylor Lautner beat out Channing Tatum for Best Shirtless Moment, so I think that just about sums about how seriously this particular award show should be taken by those of us who consider filmmaking an art form. I mean, really. In what world? Anyhoo, let’s review who was there and what they wore with a round of Hits, Misses and Superlatives!
How is it that I am actually aware of who Sophia Bush is? I never watched “One Tree Hill” and I’m pretty sure it’s no longer on TV. Oh wait, I just IMDBed her — doing my research, thank you very much – and it seems Sophia is now on a show called “Partners” and there is a reason that she’s still famous. And in this conservative (button-up shirt) and funky (studded shoes and leopard clutch) outfit, Sophia looks to be taking her career seriously, as it seems like the perfect outfit to wear when meeting with your manager and agent to discuss future opportunities. Copycat details after the jump! Keep reading »
It isn’t fair about Halle Berry. So pretty, so talented, so fertile. Sigh. In any case, good for her and congrats to her and Oliver on their impending “surprise” babe. That said, I’m having less than good feelings about the gown she wore to the Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, premiere of her film “The Call.”
The lace is pretty and all, but the weird triangle shape on the top of the dress just kind of isn’t working for me. What do you think? [Photo: Pacific Coast News]
What are these overalls fashioned from? Sweatpants? Baby’s breath? Clouds? Whatever the case, Bella Thorne (a name surely fashioned from “Twilight” fan fic) is another nail in the coffin that overalls are Officially A Thing and may be here to stay. Of course, they could be way worse — I mean, she looks kind of cute — but just be forewarned, this a real spring thing now. [Photo: Pacific Coast News]
Oh, Elizabeth Olsen, you’re so perfect. You’re the most perfect-est Olsen of all time. I may have been a member of the mail-order Mary Kate and Ashley Fan Club circa 2000, but if they had a mail-order fan club for you in 2013, I would join it right now. Right now! Don’t worry, they didn’t even send anything good, just a 9-by-13 black and white photo from time to time. Kind of creepy, come to think of it. Anyway, this outfit is perfect, just like everything else Elizabeth does. Let’s steal it, shall we? Keep reading »
I understand that if you’re Misery Raccoon Taylor Momsen, you’re life is not necessarily about making sensible choices. This is a rugrat that left a lucrative and high profile career as a “Gossip Girl” to fulfill her rockstar fantasies as a singer in a band. Mental note, Taylor: Most of us just play Rock Band, you know? That said, she’s proven that her music thing is more than just a passing fling; Momsen is still rocking out with her lady cock out. Here she is filming a new video for fellow musician Tomomi Itano (she’s also of the Japanese mega-group AKB48), in deeply inappropriate shoes and a perilously short dress that could double as a wee rainproof tent. Look, Heidi Klum never looks bad. She’s Heidi Klum. But is this particular ensemble one I would wear for an early-morning taping of “Good Morning America”? Not really. She looks like she’s wearing reflective tape or something, and geez Heidi Klum, you’re already Heidi Klum! Do you really need to suck all the light from the room? [Photo: Fame/Flynet]
The American Country Music Awards were held Sunday evening, and we imagine anybody who loves country music at all was busily flipping between the ACMs and “Mad Men” all night. Country music’s finest — along with some random famous country fans like Kaley Cuoco and Dog the Bounty Hunter — showed up for the festivities, and most (most!) of them wore some pretty lovely gowns. But it wouldn’t be a country music awards show without somebody going a little overboard with the rhinestones, feathers or sparkle. Click through to see last night’s fashion winners and losers.
I’m still reeling from the speed at which Jessica Simpson got pregnant after giving birth. Like, are we sure this new one isn’t baby Maxwell’s twin who just wanted to hang out in the womb for a few extra months? That’s my theory. Anyway, while I’ve had mixed feelings about Jessica’s pregnancy style in the past, I must say I totally love this outfit, from the flowy skirt to the cropped jean jacket and epic cleavage (and of course that adorable baby on her hip). Pregnancy #2 (or 1.5?) looks good on her. [Photo: Splash News]
Here’s Fergie Ferg, hanging off the edge of balcony greeting her adoring fans and throwing grapes to them. She also tossed them candy and lipsticks, too, presumably from her new Wet ‘N’ Wild collection. What is this Marie Antoinette bullshit? In any case, that’s a rather glorious caftan, no?
