Before I proceed to massage your throbbing ovaries with photos of adorable kids, let me explain what I mean by “big, serious” celebrity babies. “Big, serious baby” is a phrase Ami uses to describe babies who are not necessary large in size (although it helps) but have a weighty seriousness to their demeanor. Some babies are super giggly and smiley and then some babies look like they found out they owe $20,000 in back taxes or have just finished reading Angela’s Ashes. Personally, I think a big, serious baby is almost cuter than a smiley baby, but let’s face it, they’re all adorable and I’ll take one of each! So, here are some of Hollywood’s most big, serious babies, thinking big, serious thoughts.
There was once a time when a woman’s pregnant belly was shrouded in over-sized fabric, concealed from the world. Nowadays, pregnancy is a good excuse to rock even tighter clothes to emphasize the growing waistline (“That’s not a burrito, that’s a baby!”) or, if you’re famous, to chuck the cover-ups entirely and show off your swelling belly on the cover of a magazine. Jessica Simpson did just this for this month’s issue of ELLE. Oh, and by the way, it’s a GIRL! Jessica’s hardly the first to strike a preggo cover pose. We can thank Demi Moore for this particular pose. Vanity Fair 1991 anyone? Click through to see some other sexy stars who’ve graced magazine covers while with child. [People]
Oh no they didn’t. At last night’s Brit Awards in London, Adele was midway through her “Album of the Year” acceptance speech when the hosts cut her off mid-sentence to announce the beginning of Blur’s super long performance. Adele, usually so sweet as pie, had a middle finger message for the suits upstairs. She’s even adorbs when she’s pissed off! Check out video after the jump and above, other starlets flippin’ the bird. Keep reading »
Add Selena Gomez to the list of people who find Zooey Deschanel “adorkable.” The singer/actress posted a photo to Instagram of her reading the latest issue ofAllure (with Deschanel on the cover), calling the “New Girl” star her “current girl crush.” I have to say, I approve of this match much more so than Selena and Justin Bieber.
Gay, straight, or whatever—every lady has a girl crush. Strangely enough, my girl crush has been Eva Mendes ever since I saw the movie “Hitch” and fell in love with her tawny skin, sexy beauty mark, and impeccable wardrobe. Guess Ryan Gosling and I have the same taste in women — surely the three of us could work something out?

Photobombs are so much more fun when they involve celebrities, especially when famous folks are on both ends of the explosion. Adam Scott and Lizzy Caplan got Jon Heder and Will Forte good at the “Eastbound & Down” premiere party. Bonus to Adam for flipping the bird while bombing. That’s a move right there. There are two camps in The Frisky office — the Goslingites [Ahem, see the reasons to love him, below. -- Editor] and the JGL-ers. I happen to fall squarely in the latter camp — and so I’m thrilled that today is Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s 31st birthday. Never change, JGL! In honor of his birthing day, I’ve assembled a list of 31 reasons we love JGL. Get on board, why don’t you?
I am pretty sure Evan Dando — lead singer of the vastly important band, The Lemonheads — has not given a f**k since the ’90s, but even I was a tad surprised that he tweeted this photo following a gig in Arizona. In addition to partying with that handful of Jolly Ranchers in the corner (love those!), Evan also had a few lines of what looks to be cocaine ready to snort. I promptly sent the photo over to Julie to get her opinion on the matter, as she is Evan’s biggest fan, and she replied, “The worst part is, he drinks PEPSI. CRUSH OVER.” (Julie, like me, is firmly on Team Coke — that’s Coca-Cola, natch.) [Twitter]
Not that Evan actually cares what people think of the way he spends his off-hours, but he’s not the first celeb to be busted on camera in the company of illegal substances. Click onward for more!
Hey, what did you get for Christmas? I got pajamas, fancy towels, and a book on gender! I think that’s pretty great, but the 12 couples in this slideshow probably think their gift was better — they all got engaged over the holidays (i.e. the period between Thanksgiving and New Year’s). There are so many, I thought we should keep a running list cause clearly a trend is afoot. As a formerly engaged on New Year’s Eve person, I am now anti-holiday engagement. But that’s because my engagement ended and I am reminded of that every New Year’s. But I’m glad it worked out that way, so it’s a nice reminder that I’m not married to that guy, but also, I would rather not be reminded of him at all on a holiday, you know? Well, whatever, good luck to these celeb couples who all got engaged during the holiday season! I really don’t mean to be a downer.
