Long before Lindsay took up unauthorized residence, the Chateau Marmont on Sunset Boulevard played host and home to a multitude of eminent eccentrics and bold-faced names (F. Scott Fitzgerald, Marilyn Monroe, Dennis Hopper, Jim Morrison, Hunter S. Thompson, Heath Ledger, Led Zeppelin, Britney Spears, Howard Hughes, and beyond) who all had one thing in common: they loved to party, and hard. In fact, the founder of Columbia Pictures once said, “If you must get in trouble, do it at the Chateau Marmont.” It’s no wonder, then, that when we think of the infamous hotel, the last thing that comes to mind is sleep. (Well, unless it’s forever sleep, as in the tragic case of John Belushi, who met his untimely end in the Chateau’s Bungalow #3.) Fashion photographer Jork Weismann’s new portrait book, aptly titled “Asleep at the Chateau,” pays quiet homage to that legendary place of celebrity refuge and relapse by showing a number of familiar faces in repose within its walls. Among them are Bret Easton Ellis, Orlando Bloom, Juergen Teller, Usher, Eva Longoria, and Patti Smith (shown). Check out a couple more after the jump, and pick up Asleep at the Chateau via Artbook. It’s kind of crazy that Dakota Fanning is only 18; the girl has been around forever. The Fannings obviously don’t waste any time getting into the biz, but what I like about Dakota and her sister, Elle, is that they both seem incredibly smart and well-adjusted for the amount of fame they’ve experienced at such young ages. I definitely don’t foresee any Lohan-ing in either of their futures. (And yes, they’re both fashion wunderkinds who are lucky enough to be outfitted by some of the most revered designers out there.)
It’s a rare 18-year-old who can wear Chanel and look at once totally arresting and also completely age-appropriate, but I guess if anyone’s going to be able to pull it off, it’s Dakota. InStyle UK’s December issue features the actress as its cover star in, oh, just the most gorgeous Chanel frock ever plucked right from the Resort 2013 collection, with elaborate tonal embroidery and touches of pink, purple, and blue. This further reinforces my conviction that international versions of fashion mags get way better covers than we do. I’m just sayin’. More pics (one featuring the prettiest pair of cat ears for humans you’ll ever see), after the jump! [Celebitchy via InStyle UK]

Confession: I haven’t seen a Keira Knightley movie since “Love Actually,” but I’ll gladly own up to my weakness for the actress any day. How could I not, what with her impeccable bone structure? It also helps that, for all of Keira’s delicate features and compelling roles
(but also not really), she manages to come across in the press as the delightfully witty, irrepressibly potty-mouthed British best friend of my dreamz.
Her feature in the September issue of Harper’s Bazaar UK is no different: a charming interview laced with obscenities and a sumptuous editorial is all I could ever wish for, and Keira certainly doesn’t disappoint. The opulent styling envisions the “Anna Karenina” star as “a modern-day Guinevere,” replete with a glamorous Gothic appeal that really speaks to the half-Russian in me. Keira wears the season’s difficult deep plum lipstick to unrivaled success, and I would sell my soul for that feather stole or cape or coat or whatever it is she’s got going on there. Any takers? No? Fine. Additional photos after the jump! [Celebitchy] Keep reading »
Paz de la Huerta went out in public! Wait, is that not titillating news to anyone other than me? Paz is my muse. My spirit animal, if you will. She doesn’t even look that grimy! … Okay, still pretty grimy. Can someone please get this goddess back on television? Maybe her own talk show? The girl clearly needs a platform. Keep reading »
Charlize Theron has kept her newly adopted son Jackson under wraps since he entered her life back in March — but today, we finally got our first look at the cute kid. Looking absolutely adorable in his mom’s arms, little Jackson was seen for the first time as he and Charlize made a trip from LAX to Paris. See photos of little Jackson here!
It used to be that celebrities were shrouded in mystery, lightyears out of the atmosphere that “normal” people occupy. Thanks to gossip magazines and that little thing called Twitter, Hollywood has no secrets anymore. I can’t speak as to whether this is for better or for worse, but it’s certainly … interesting. Have you ever speculated what it might be like to see celebrity beauties like, say, Jennifer Aniston or Blake Lively up close and personal, the way they air their lives out for the world to
see read? Well, speculate no more — Celebrity Close-Up has it taken care of. They’ve got the closest of close-ups of the stars, hence the name, and their own tagline says it best: “Get close to celebrities! Really close. So close that you will beg to be taken far, far away to a place where you’ll never have to see that celebrity ever again.” Indeed, I would not be sad if Billy Crystal’s forehead rendered itself suspiciously void from my subconscious. The paparazzi snap tons of photos in a row, so they’re bound to catch celebs making some funny faces. I’m not famous, but I have a few photos of my own to rival these. Check out all the photos (not mine, though) at theBERRY!
