Hey y’all, I just wanna give a shoutout to Zoe Saldana, who has been absolutely killing it everywhere she goes. Between two “Star Trek Into Darkness” events this week, and the MTV Movie Awards earlier this month, lady has been looking ahhhhhh-mazing. These looks are all seriously difficult to pull off, but she is Seriously Doing It. I can’t remember the last time I was this wowed by a star’s fashion prowess. Again: killing it.
On the one hand, Rita Ora’s neon sweatsuit looks so comfortable that I’m kind of jealous I’m not wearing it right now. On the other hand, she paired it with red lipstick and high heels, which totally defeats the purpose of a super comfortable sweatsuit. But on the third, most important hand (I only bring out my secret third hand for very important occasions), despite the fancy accessories, she’s still wearing a neon sweatsuit in public. Leelee Sobieski has been in so many great films and one particularly outstanding TV miniseries adapted from one of my favorite books ever (ahem, “Les Liaisons dangereuses”). It’s crazy to think that the NYC native is only 29. Leelee took some time off from the industry the past few years after getting married and having her first child, but with a few new credits under her belt and a few artful public appearances (looking flawless, might I add), we’ve got our cards stacked in favor of the actress’s big-screen comeback. While she showed her support for good friend Raf Simons at the Christian Dior show, we fell in love with her chic basics. This smart greyscale look is the perfect way to elevate all-black — Leelee shows us how. Keep reading »
As 2013 gets its start (we made it!), we’re looking back at our utmost favorite celeb looks throughout the previous year, like these 10 stars who consistently impressed us on the streets…
I would like to (firmly but gently) scold whoever reintroduced jumpsuits to popular fashion, because 99.99999 percent of the time the results are not only obscenely bad, but also infused with genuinely obscene cameltoe situations. I can’t, however, bring myself to hate on Diane Kruger in this embroidered lace version of the trend by Jason Wu ― the cut is actually flattering, but I don’t know if that has more to do with the garment itself or who’s wearing it. The German actress has shown us that she can take essentially any questionable look (even jaunty little caps!) and make it look like the best thing ever, so it doesn’t surprise me that this difficult silhouette becomes incredibly chic on her, especially when worn with the perfect simple accessories. Are you loving Diane’s take on the jumpsuit (I’ll admit, I kind of am), or would you rather see her in one of her many girly Chanel frocks?
Did I ever think that I’d live in a world in which child star Amanda Bynes would be arrested for smoking weed in her car and Courtney Love would be spotted in such a nice, normal, well-put-together casual outfit? No, no I did not. [Photo: Fame/Flynet]
