Reese Witherspoon chose to skip the “I went to Atlanta and all I got was arrested for drunk and disorderly conduct” T-shirt and opted to commemorate her recent arrest with a slightly more subtle memento: an Atlanta Police Department hat. Reese made the fashion statement for her much-photographed arrival at LAX, alongside husband Jim “I had nothing to do with that” Toth. What do you think of Reese’s choice of headwear? Is it a cheeky way to reference an unavoidable topic? Or does it strike you as a little tacky? [Photo: Splash]

In the interview, Reese does seem genuinely apologetic and appropriately mortified about her behavior. “I saw him arresting my husband and I literally panicked,” she explains. “I said all kinds of crazy things. I told him I was pregnant. I’m not pregnant! I said crazy things.” Oh Reese, Elle Woods would have prepared much better arguments than that. [NY Daily News]
