Halle Berry And Gavin Rossdale Coming To A TV Near You

With big stars like Zooey Deschanel signing on for television shows, it seems like the small screen is the place to be. Today, I read about two other unexpected faces who will be appearing on the boob tube soon. First, Oscar winner Halle Berry is attached to a new TV series called “Higher Learning” that is being pitched to both Showtime and HBO and is expected to be picked up by one of them. Not too much is known about the show beyond Halle’s involvement and the fact that she would play a college professor in it. Also fascinating—Gavin Rossdale, aka the frontman of Bush and husband of Gwen Stefani, has signed on for a role on USA’s “Burn Notice.” Keep reading »

Auctions Are The New Auditions

Jeffrey Donovan’s much-desired butt got a little close to the casting couch Sunday night. Well, kind of. At a benefit concert, the “Burn Notice” star auctioned off two walk-on roles on the show for $18,000 each. Maybe the lucky female bidders were under the impression that the cameos involved smooching Donavan’s character (Michael Westen)? Luckily, there’s much of both to go around. This week, hot guys get chased by fireballs, chase whales, and heal people. Oh and some celebs are stuck in the jungle again. Keep reading »

The Daily Hotness: Jeffrey Donovan

I didn’t take notice of Jeffrey Donovan until last year when his hit summer show Burn Notice premiered. Now, I never miss an opportunity to drool over him as he dodges bullets, helps the unfortunate and beats down bad guys on season two. Since Jeffrey has a black belt in karate and is studying Brazilian jiujitsu, I like to think that all his fight scenes are real. (Please don’t burst my bubble if you know otherwise.) Also, I’m really impressed with his MFA from New York University. You’ve gotta love an actor that hones his skills both physically and theatrically. Keep reading »
