Charlie Sheen has checked into rehab again, confirms “Access Hollywood.” In a statement, Sheen’s rep said:
“As a preventative measure, Charlie Sheen has entered a rehabilitation facility. He will take some time off his series ‘Two and a Half Men.’ He has asked that his privacy be honored. No further statements are planned.”
As a preventative measure? Hi, Charlie Sheen’s rep: after your client is arrested for domestic violence on Christmas for allegedly holding a knife to his wife, Brooke Mueller’s throat, you can cut the BS with the American public. It’s not like Charlie has a squeaky clean image to uphold. [Access Hollywood] Keep reading »
On Christmas night, I sauntered into the kitchen to pour myself a glass of milk when my dad turned away from the TV to tell me that Charlie Sheen had been arrested for domestic violence. A major TV star? Domestic violence on Christmas? Zut alors! Blogger Jessica sprang to action: I hit up TMZ and typed out a post as quickly as I could. This will be huge, I thought.
It was all for naught, though. The Charlie Sheen story never became a Really Big Deal like the Tiger Woods scandal did. Maybe Woods’ established good-guy reputation is more fun to rip apart and all the mistresses are dishier. Or maybe Sheen’s lawyers really were successful in their effort to keep Brooke Mueller quiet and the controversy has been muffled into submission. (Last we heard, Mueller’s lawyers said the two just had a “bad night”—um, my bad nights don’t involve death threats!) Or maybe the nation just has Charlie Sheen Is A Douche fatigue.
But I don’t: Sheen allegedly held a knife to his wife’s throat and threatened to kill her—and he’s been convicted of physically abusing a girlfriend in the past. And yet the public reaction isn’t even one-tenth as much as the Tiger Woods scandal reaction. Since when is cheating worse than beating? Keep reading »
Police have released Brooke Mueller’s 911 call, in which she alleges that her husband, Charlie Sheen, had a knife and threatened to kill her. In addition, police have also given more details about the incident — according to Mueller’s initial statement, she and Sheen got into a fight when she said she wanted a divorce. According to TMZ, Mueller said:
“Sheen became enraged, grabbed her by the upper part of her throat while straddling her on the bed. She says Sheen then pulled out a knife and held it to her throat, saying, ‘You better be in fear. If you tell anybody, I’ll kill you … Your mother’s money means nothing. I have ex-police I can hire who know how to get the job done and they won’t leave any trace.’”
Sheen was arrested at the scene, and while he acknowledges the couple was fighting over Mueller wanting a divorce, he denies he ever threatened Mueller with a knife. He also said that Mueller abuses alcohol — Mueller was intoxicated the morning of the incident. While all of the charges against Sheen have yet to be proven, Mueller’s 911 call certainly is upsetting — she’s crying and sounds terrified. Given Sheen’s past history of domestic violence, we just hope these two go their separate ways at the very least. [TMZ] Keep reading »
Charlie Sheen‘s klassy Christmas Day domestic violence arrest just keeps getting more sordid! TMZ claims law enforcement sources said Sheen allegedly threatened his wife, Brooke Mueller, with a knife and police observed marks on her body which may have come from a scuffle.
But Mueller is no class act herself. The mother of twin 9-month-old boys was legally drunk with a .13 blood alcohol level when she reported Sheen to the police. Let us remind you police responded to a 911 call at 8:34 a.m. on Christmas. Who is that drunk that early on Christmas morning?!?! [I hit the mimosas pretty early myself, but I am never drunk before noon. Even on Christmas. -- Editor] Especially when you’ve got infants at home. Keep reading »
Stripper-lovin’ Charlie Sheen is keeping it klassy, as usual. Sheen was arrested in Aspen yesterday for allegedly assaulting his wife, Brooke Mueller, mother to his twin boys. Sheen was released later in the day after posting $8,500 bail.
Apparently, cops responded to a 911 call on Christmas morning from Mueller, claiming Sheen assaulted her. But when the police arrived, Sheen claimed he was just fending his wife off. Mmm-kay. Sheen, 44, was charged with felony second degree assault, felony menacing and criminal mischief, a misdemeanor. TMZ reports all three charges are “coupled with a domestic violence component.” Keep reading »
