It’s been 48 hours since I heard the news that Brittany Murphy—who I’ve loved since her days on that Disney Channel show, “The Torkelsons”—had died at the way, way too young age of 32 after cardiac arrest, and I’m still shocked. But there’s one person who isn’t: Perez Hilton. Earlier this month, he appeared on a California radio show called “AJ In The Morning.” When asked who in Hollywood he thought was heading towards a Michael Jackson-like demise, he said, “Brittany Murphy, maybe.” Eerie. And when he first posted about her death on his site, he wrote, “It’s absolutely devastating. Especially because this comes as no surprise! TMZ reports actress Brittany Murphy died in Los Angeles of cardiac arrest this morning. She was only 32.
According to the L.A. Fire Department, a 911 call was placed at 8 a.m. this morning from a house belonging to her husband, Simon Monjack.
Sources then told TMZ that Brittany Murphy’s mom found her in the shower and when paramedics arrived, they determined Murphy was in full cardiac arrest. Although paramedics administered CPR all the way to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, she was pronounced dead at the hospital. Keep reading »
