Ah, a stroll down memory lane. Remember when Britney Spears was having an “episode” and she attacked some paparazzo with an umbrella? Well, apparently she wrote an apology letter claiming she was “preparing a character for a possible movie role.” I suppose that’s code for “struggling with mental illness”? I wonder if that was her rationale for shaving her head as well? I guess it’s all ancient history now that her hair has grown back and her mood has stabilized. But hey, an apology is an apology. How very thoughtful of her. You can’t say Brit doesn’t have manners. [That's Hot]
If there’s one place for a celebrity lady to step up her game, it’s on the red carpet. Whenever it’s rolled out, famous faces come out of the woodwork (do they exist when they’re not making public appearances? Important life questions) to show off what they’ve got. Classic, bizarre, avant garde — as we’ve seen, it’s all fair in
love dresses and war. But sometimes, even those who make a million a movie step out of line (and that is a fine line indeed!) and come off looking, well, cheap.
Britney Spears’ “Criminal” music video is out and if “Mob Wives” hasn’t locked it down as its theme song, they should. The song itself is typical Britney-meh and the video is Britney-awful. There’s not one but two incidents where the cameras linger on her official perfume. (Product placement, y’all!) Brit-Brit and her real-life boo Jason Trawick play passionate bandits who meet when he saves her from being roughed up on the street by a douchey date. A great message for the
kiddies mob wives whose real lives are actually like this: it’s okay to trade one criminal for another — just trade up! [Just Jared] Keep reading »
“He is a sucker with a gun, gun, gun, gun,” Britney Spears sings in her track, “Criminal.” But apparently, the local government in Stoke Newington, a borough of London, didn’t get the memo about the lyrics or name of the song before they gave Brit-Brit permission to film a music video there. Now that they’ve seen the content, they are not too pleased. The video has yet to be released, but images have appeared all over the internet. In the pictures, Britney robs a convenience store along with real-life boyfriend Jason Trawick. Britney not only rocks a ski mask, but she points a gun at the cashier. As the pair runs away, Britney limply carries a fake gun in one hand and a duffle bag in the other.
So why is the local government so mad? Because of the riots that happened earlier this year, they think the imagery glorifies lawlessness and weapon-wielding. Keep reading »
Celebrities often credit their red carpet ensembles to their stylists, but judging by these denim looks — their stylists didn’t always do a good job. Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Jessica Simpson, Alicia Keys and Beyoncé have all worn double denim, high-waisted mom jeans and cutout vests that make you ask, “What were they thinking?”
That’s not to say that no one can rock those looks –- Kate Moss did double denim the right way at Mulberry’s spring 2012 show this week and Pippa Middleton looked cute in a denim dress a few months ago. But alas, not everyone can look as good as they do in denim, so check out the slideshow to see which celebs wore a denim disaster and tell us your thoughts below! Read more… Keep reading »
