Britney Spears’ circus-themed video for, uh, “Circus,” the second single of her latest album, is now online. I think it’s hot, but what’s up with the big ol’ product placement shout out to Bulgari at the beginning? Did Brit get to keep those baubles when the video shoot was done?

In case ya’ll missed it, Britney’s birthday was this week, and rumormongers duly noted that Heidi Klum showed up at Britney’s birthday bash. What does it all mean? It could be that Klum is courting the beweaved one for an appearance on an upcoming season of “Project Runway.” Which would certainly be, um, interesting. “‘Heidi’s smart: she knows that Britney can do wonders for a show’s ratings, there’s been a lot of drama at ‘Runway’ — it would be huge for her to get Britney,’” a source stated. On the other hand, Brit-Brit would certainly make for a unique fashion icon. Perhaps contestants could create fashions based on Brit’s many moods. Frap-toting, pink-wigged lunatic with a British accent. Bald-headed in a hoodie, armed with an umbrella. Postmodern school girl gone wild, redeconstructed. The possibilities are endless, really. Now that his ex-wife Britney Spears has opened up about the past few tumultuous years, Kevin Federline is sharing his side of the story exclusively to People. Federline’s definitely had some coaching from his publicist, but he seems genuinely concerned about Britney — because she’s the mother of his children. Highlights after the jump. Keep reading »
Last night’s MTV documentary, “Britney Spears: For The Record,” was a fascinating, revealing, but extremely controlled look at the pop star’s crazy life. While at times Britney seemed to be having fun and back to her “old self” (if we ever knew her at all, that is), she also seemed extremely sad and said as much. Sure, her life has gone back to normal and we likely won’t be seeing anymore pantyless crotch shots in the tabloids and her hair, post-head shaving, is starting to grow back, but she sure doesn’t seem much happier than before. As she says, her life is too controlled, and lacks passion. I feel bad for the girl and hope she can find a happy medium between dangerously rebellious and trapped in a cage. Clip above! Tonight I’ll be liveblogging the premiere of MTV’s Britney Spears documentary at 10pm. I am so excited my head is going to explode. Leading up to the premiere of the doc AND the release of her newest album “Circus,” Brit has been making the rounds, performing “Womanizer” at THREE European events this weekend. She totally ripped off Madonna’s look, but I can forgive her. Check out one of the performances above and then come back to this post TONIGHT AT 10PM as I liveblog the documentary with all the pent up love of a hard core Britney fan. Don’t hate. Keep reading »
In Rolling Stone‘s cover story on Britney Spears (on newsstands today), the singer describes some recent dates she’s been on, all “supervised” by her assistant. While none of the dates have been successful, it goes without saying that post-Federline and post-breakdown, Papa Spears is keep a very close eye on who his daughter hangs out with. While some say Britney still holds a candle for Adnan Ghalib, we think she should drop that trash and, when she’s ready, find herself a man who’s not going to use her. Who knows what her mom and dad will approve of — they don’t seem to want too many people to get close to Britney and her millions — but we have some suggestions that could totally work. Thanksgiving Day isn’t just for eating turkey. You can also watch some of the best TV of the year because all those people that aren’t cooking need something to watch besides football. All three “Godfather” movies will air on Thursday, but other classic movies will also be on the tube. Friday is a great day for marathon watching, and if you can’t find anything new to watch on Saturday, I suggest you channel surf. And don’t forget, Amelia, will liveblog “Britney Spears: For the Record” on Sunday at 10 pm. Keep reading »
