Always fans of casual French style that still looks chic, we fell pretty hard for Erin’s French Mariner shirt, as she called it, when she wore it the other day (and again today). Also known as a Breton shirt, these classic boatneck-collared, striped shirts were made part of the French seaman’s uniform list in 1858. It has been mariners wore this style because the stripes made it easier to find a man who had fallen into the sea.
