As a busy New Yorker whose normal weeknight get-home time is 9 p.m. if not later, I’m pretty selfish about my Saturdays. There are no plans to be made before 2 p.m. — no, I can’t get to that toddler’s birthday party in Brooklyn at noon; nope, I don’t care if there’s a free yoga class downtown at 10 a.m. Sleeping in and lounging around into the early afternoon is a must. Tomorrow, however, my husband and I are donating our Saturday to the Revlon Run/Walk for Women’s Cancer, and I, personally, couldn’t feel better about waking up at 7 a.m. on my day off.
