The Albuquerque Journal Published An Obit For “Breaking Bad”‘s Walter White

Talk about a spoiler. A science teach named David Layman and members of the Facebook group “Unofficial Breaking Bad Fan Tour” paid to have a death notice for Walter While printed in the Albuquerque Journal, thereby ruining the ending to the show for anyone who reads the paper but hasn’t caught up on the show. And considering the obit is going viral, I guess the ending is pretty ruined for everyone else too. Oh well, that 48-hour window has passed. Layman explained that the obit provides fans with “closure.” [ABQ Journal]

Dance, Bitch!

No matter what he does now that “Breaking Bad” is over, Aaron Paul will probably always be best known for playing Jesse Pinkman. And the character’s penchant for throwing in a “bitch” at the end of nearly every sentence lives on too — including in this “hyper kinetic dance floor gem” from DJs Tom Neville and Zen Freeman. Press play, bitch. [Buzzfeed]

3 Helpful Tips For Avoiding Spoilers (That Don't Include Yelling "No Spoilers!" And Expecting The Universe To Listen)

In the last six years that I’ve worked full-time on ye olde internet, blogging about, amongst other things, TV, there is one particularly common directive I’ve heard in our comments section, via email and on Facebook and Twitter that drives me absolutely bat shit nuts: “NO SPOILERS!!!” I suspect that this isn’t going to earn me much fan mail, but I can’t take it anymore, I just have to say it: If a TV show is spoiled for you, chances are pretty goddamn good it’s your own fault and, well, I have very little sympathy for your plight. Sorry! Rather than telling the rest of the internet — which is full of people who, unfortunately, do not know you or particularly care about you — “NO SPOILERS” and expecting them to contort themselves to whatever your viewing timeline happens to be, I suggest you take the following precautions: Keep reading »

The Conclusion Of “Breaking Bad” Set To Bone Thugs-N-Harmony’s “Tha Crossroads”

The Conclusion Of "Breaking Bad" Set To Bone Thugs-N-Harmony's "Tha Crossroads"
See You At The Crossroads, Walt!

Last night, the series finale of “Breaking Bad” aired and, in my opinion, it was as right a conclusion to this story as we were ever going to get. Creator Vince Gilligan decided to set the episode’s final moments  to the tune of Badfinger’s “Baby Blue.” Great choice, seriously. But what about a song that tugs at the heart strings little more, that really plays to the audience’s emotions as we bid goodbye to one of the very best TV shows of all time? Like, say, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony’s “Tha Crossroads”? Well done, Uproxx. (Spoilers in the video above, obviously.)

Man Who's Never Seen "Breaking Bad" Writes Letter To Local Paper Complaining About The Show's Emmy Win

Last Sunday, “Breaking Bad” — deservedly, by the way — won the Emmy for Best Television Drama, but at least one man was not happy to see such fictional depravity being celebrated. Everyone’s entitled to their opinion, of course, but Gordon Drennan gets at least one thing wrong about the series he admits to never having watched — Jesse Pinkman was never Walter White’s best student. I mean, in the meth lab, yes. In the classroom? No. [via Reddit]

Every Bad Thing That's Happened To Jesse Pinkman On "Breaking Bad"
Jesse, You've Had It Rough, Bitch

Jesse Pinkman, the former student turned meth-cooking sidekick of Walter White, was originally supposed to die during “Breaking Bad”‘s first season, but has gradually and beautifully evolved into the show’s moral compass. As the show comes to a close this Sunday — and Jesse’s future hangs in the balance — this video looks back at every single, solitary shitty thing poor Jesse has endured during “Breaking Bad”‘s five seasons. Jesse, you’ve had it rough, bitch. [Slate]

Got That "Breaking Bad" Sadness?

This Aaron Paul -approved “Breaking Bad” parody music video, featuring a dead-on impression of Lana Del Rey, is pretty darn perfect. (It also contains spoilers, so don’t watch if you’re one of those weird people who hasn’t caught up with the rest of us real fans, ahem.) Sigh … what are we going to do without this show?! [YouTube]
