Don’t know if you’ve heard, but former “Bachelor” Brad Womack, who proposed to Emily Maynard, then declared he’d “dodged a bullet” after they broke up, and former “Bachelor” contestant AshLee Frazier, who scared the living shit out of everyone on Sean Lowe’s season, are now an item. Yup! Brad and AshLee are dating. The ”Bachelor” alums have been hanging out for a while now, and AshLee posted a photo of them sucking in their stomachs and embracing at a baseball game.

“The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” have long been known for casting types—the workaholic, the basketcase, the party heartier. But it looks like after last season, when Emily Maynard became a fan favorite because of the resilience she showed in talking about her fiance who died in a plane crash years before the show, it appears the franchise has a new type—the tragedian. For the second season in a row, the producers have cast a contestant with something deeper than a traumatizing breakup in their past—they’ve lost spouses in tragic accidents.
This season, that contestant is West Lee, who is currently vying for the love of Ashley Hebert. Keep reading »
We were just waiting for Emily Maynard to jump from “Bachelor” Brad Womack’s loveboat. His “I’m a perfect guy now” facade was crumbling by the second during the finale. What was her first hint? When he got angry at her for questioning that his desire to be a father to her daughter was enough? How dare she! Or was it when Brad’s brother warned her “not to poke the bear”? If there’s a bear within capable of being provoked, you best believe we’re not sticking around to make its acquaintance. We’re glad Emily decided very wisely not to walk down the aisle — at least for now. After the jump, some things a guy could say that would make us hightail it in the opposite direction. Last night, after the disappointing revelation that Brad and Emily are probably not going to live happily ever after, speculation instantly began on who would be the next “Bachelorette.” Would ABC go with the obvious choice, Chantal O’Brien, the gorgeous brunette who was Brad’s runner-up? That theory were quickly shot down during “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” On the show, it was announced that Ashley Hebert, the sweet dental student Brad sent home from Cape Town, would be the new “Bachelorette.” [CNN] Keep reading »
Last night’s season finale of “The Bachelor” was an incredible letdown. I felt pretty sure a few weeks back, when Brad Womack and Emily Maynard landed on their own private island and he broke into hives while trying to tell her how much he cared about her, that Emily would be his choice in the end. As expected, Brad let Chantal go in a burst of tears and then got down on one knee and slipped a big, glittering diamond on Emily’s finger. “I’ve wanted to tell you I’ve loved you for so long,” he said, before telling her she’s “the one.” Big duh.
But then came the “After the Final Rose” ceremony. Keep reading »
We watched as season five “Bachelorette” contestant, David Good, got a second chance at love on “Bachelor Pad.” After all the pie-eating, backstabbing, and unitard-wearing was said and done, David walked away the big winner with $125,000 in his pocket and Natalie Getz on his arm. Not too shabby! Since then, David has been busy penning a book, The Man Code: A Woman’s Guide To Cracking The Tough Guy. As unlikely a messenger as he may seem, his book gives women a look under the hood, helping them crack the code to understanding “men’s men.”
I had an email conversation with David to find out more about his thoughts on manhood, his love life, and who Brad Womack should choose. Check it out after the jump. Keep reading »
