Okay, so ex-”Rachel Zoe Project” fashion fiend Brad Goreski might be the whiniest man on television. But his glasses are pretty sweet. And because Brad is Kate Spade’s newest brand stylist, his signature glasses are now memorialized in earrings, a bangle, a necklace, and this adorable ring. Take that, Rachel Zoe! It was a busy night last night on the Bravo premiere of “It’s a Brad, Brad World” — kind of. Brad feels like even though everybody knows him as Brad Goreski, Rachel Zoe’s former assistant, they don’t know him “as Brad the independent-stylist-slash-style-editor,” so he’s still struggling to develop his portfolio.
“Some weeks you’re really, really busy, and other weeks it’s like, crickets,” he said of his new freelance lifestyle. So, rather than waiting for the phone to ring, Brad does stuff like work out and “go back and forth between the refrigerator and pretend I’m not depressed.” We’re sure that between his “blonde ambition” (see the video) and his healthy habits — we couldn’t help but notice that he had a sliced apple for a late-night snack — Brad is going to be just fine, and work (and work out) really hard for the cameras. Because, as he can attest, “looking cute does not pay the bills.”

Yup, the fashion was pretty fabulous at today’s Fashion Forward fashion show. The event, hosted by former Rachel Zoe BFF Brad Goreski, benefited the Gay Men’s Health Crisis. And fans of men in skirts.
Has there been a serious lack of bow ties in your life lately? Missing witty, fashion-forward banter? Then you’ll want to wath Brad Goreski’s new show. Brad, if you’ll remember, was the well-coiffed male assistant to Ms. Rachel Zoe, but now he’s striking out on his own with “It’s a Brad World.” “World” will follow Goreski as he attends fashion shows, styles celebs and shops for bigger and better neckwear, we presume. We’re hoping Zoe’s other ex-assistant Taylor makes an appearance so she and Brad can give us the inside word on what it’s really like to work with Zoe. [NY Mag] Keep reading »
Yesterday Rachel Zoe announced that she and her gay husband, Brad Goreski, were splitting up … amicably. That may not be the case after all. As it turns out, Brad’s frou-frou statement about “spreading his wings and soaring” was code for he’s sick of doing all the work and having Rachel take all the credit. Keep reading »
Major bananas news that will make you die! Lovable “Rachel Zoe Project” assistant Brad Goreski, aka Rachel Zoe’s surrogate child/gay husband, is leaving her as of October 1. “I love Rachel and she’s taught me everything I know … but there’s a point where either I do it now or I’ll never know what it’s like to spread my wings and soar.” Keep reading »
How’s this for unprofessional? Stylist-to-the-stars Rachel Zoe is on a roll talking smack about her former assistant, Taylor Jacobson, in the press. Jacobson left Zoe’s business — and the reality TV show, “The Rachel Zoe Project,” which showed how Jacobson was the only one who lifted a finger in that office — last November. Word on the street is that Jacobson was fired over designer clothes that were lost or stolen from the closet — though that seems out-of-character, in my opinion.
We don’t know what really happened, but we do know there was no love lost between them: when asked about Jacobson’s new gig as a consultant for a denim line, Zoe told a reporter for Women’s Wear Daily, “I don’t care what she does. How’s that? How’s that for an answer?” More gossip, after the jump… Keep reading »
Our big old heart fest with Brad Goreski from “The Rachel Zoe Project” continues to rage on, especially now that we know he puts his dog before fashion. We would totally do the same thing Brad! [E!] Keep reading »
I basically had a hernia when I encountered Brad and Taylor (from “The Rachel Zoe Project”) while out and about at Fashion’s Night Out. The twosome were having a grand ol’ time — The Zoe was nowhere to be found — and there didn’t sem to be any of the trademark tension seen on the TV show. In fact, Taylor couldn’t wait to plant one on Brad’s cheek when I begged them for a photo. Highlight of my evening. (Style Note: Brad was wearing his signature bow tie and white patent leather wing tips. Copycatting him ASAP.) [NYC, 9/10/09] Keep reading »
