I was having a conversation with one of my girlfriends the other day and she mentioned how she loves motorcycle boots, but has no idea how to incorporate them into her current wardrobe. I’ve heard this a lot in the past couple months, so I figured I’d share with you the easy ways you can incorporate this awesome flat boot into a variety of your looks.
Motorcycle boots have a tendency to come off a bit tough (think Rooney Mara in “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”), but they’re really much more versatile and easy to wear.

I spent the weekend in Nashville, listening to bluegrass jam bands, googling “Where do Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman hang out?” and eating way more BBQ than any human being should consume in such a short time period. It was glorious. I loved the city, and was totally inspired by the fashion, which is such a fun mix of feminine southern belle style and edgier, trendy pieces. Read on to find out how to get the Nashville look for yourself… Keep reading »
The best thing about fall (besides new TV shows and crunchy leaves and pumpkin spice lattes) is stepping out in a cute pair of boots, and what makes a cute pair of boots even cuter? A chunky cable knit sock peeking out from the top. Get the layered look without the bulk by cutting the arms off an old sweater to create these adorable leg warmers, which would look just as awesome pulled over thick tights as they do with jeans. Newsflash: your fall wardrobe is simply not complete without a pair of ankle boots. Okay, my fall wardrobe won’t be complete without a pair of ankle boots — but I don’t want to spend a mess of dough on them. So I practically spit out my Diet Coke when I came across this absurdly cheap pair of booties from Target that are a dead ringer for a designer pair my friend has that she spent a pretty penny on. The grey shade will look awesome witha pair of skinny jeans tucked into them or a dress and any color tights — especially green, the color my friend is going to be when she sees them on my feet. Hee-hee! [$29.99, Target]
I spent most of the long weekend curled up on my couch with a stack of September fashion magazines and a plate of cranberry orange scones (yes, it was heavenly), and I fell head over heels in love with this season’s crop of boots: they’re studded, strappy, slouchy, and they look seriously sexy with everything from flouncy dresses to ripped-up jeans. What I didn’t fall in love with were all the triple (and quadruple!) digit price tags, so I decided to search for some affordable alternatives. Click through to check out 10 badass boots that won’t break the bank, unless of course you buy all of them, which is what I plan to do…
I’m five feet tall, okay? Let’s just get it out in the open there. And while I don’t find heels to be terribly uncomfortable, I do find them to be terribly inconvenient, especially given my subway commute and my natural propensity to fall all over myself all the time. My height doesn’t particularly bother me — in fact, I forget how short I am until I’m standing next to someone who I perceive as tall, i.e. normal — but it does make me look a considerable amount younger than I am. Like … let’s say 12? Lately I’ve found myself craving a bit of height without the physical hindrances that come with a sick pair of pumps, so I’ve turned to booties with a small stacked heel to get the job done. They also hold your foot in so you’re not slipping and sliding everywhere, which is always a good thing, especially when you’re me. Whether you’re closer to my height or Iman’s, these 10 pairs will give you a bit of a boost, but are still comfortable enough to see you through the workday in style.

My skin is perpetually dry and bumpy. My mom would blame it on my veganism, but I blame it on living in the northeast and dealing with stupid and unpredictable weather patterns. We’re probably both right! My skin is always kind of ashy, and also red and I get tons of ingrown hairs on my legs from shaving and just living. So thank God for this Boots Extracts Cocoa Butter Sugar Scrub. It manages to both exfoliate and smooth without irritating my skin at all. I get out of the shower after washing with this stuff and my arms and legs actually feel soft and beauty product commercial lovely. I’m not gonna lie — the softness fades after about half a day, and I go back to having rough, patchy knees again, but for those few hours, I’m in skincare heaven. [$9.99, Boots]
