“No, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with getting breast implants as a Christian. I think it’s a personal decision. I don’t see anywhere in the Bible where it says you shouldn’t get breast implants.
—De-throned beauty queen Carrie Prejean may also be surprised that the Bible doesn’t say anything about airplanes, the polio vaccine, pasteurized milk, or electricity, either. [Christianity Today]
A hopeful beauty queen for the Miss Plastic Hungary pageant (only for silicone-laden beauties!) fell over onstage and tore a ligament in her foot, allegedly under the weight of her new boobs. A friend told a newspaper, “She had not got used to the extra weight on top and her new hair extensions got in her eyes—she just lost her balance.” [News.com.au]
Pro-life extremists have taken to eBay to sell their “memorabilia”—a cookbook compiled by a woman in prison for abortion clinic bombings and arson, anyone?—to raise money for the defense of Scott Roeder, the man charged with murdering late-term abortion provider Dr. George Tiller. Other items include artwork by Roeder, an autographed bullhorn, and a pro-life manual by the extremist group, Army of God. EBay has not revealed whether it will allow November 1st auction to be held. Another week, another Carrie Prejean eyeroll-worthy drama. The latest dirt? Our beloved ex-Miss California still owes $5,200 for a boob job paid for by pageant organizer K2 Productions, according to a lawsuit filed yesterday. K2 said it foot the bill for plastic surgery at Prejean’s behest, so she could “be more competitive” in the 2009 Miss USA pageant, and she hasn’t honored a verbal agreement to pay them back. (Verbal agreement? Get it in writing, people!)
Plastic surgeons have reached a truly DIY medical breakthrough in Britain: cutting fat from a woman’s thighs and tummy and pasting it on her titties. Ladies who allow surgeons to play Mrs. Potato Head with their breasts can potentially shoot up three cup sizes. The “two-in-one op,” as it’s being called, will be widely available in Britain next year for around $13,000 and is currently being tested in the U.S.
It’s true that these so-called “natural breast enlargements” don’t involve the dodgy silicone used in most boob jobs, which has been known to harden over time and feel fake. But it’s still plastic surgery, which isn’t “natural” at all! Besides, how much would it suck if the layers of fat that the doctor redistributed from your thighs turned out to be the dreaded cellulite and it made your tits all wrinkly and pucker-y? Is that really worth a C-cup, ladies? [Times Of London]
Once upon a time, Drew Barrymore was referred to as voluptuous, Posh Spice‘s bosom practically spilled out of her dress, and Lindsay Lohan suddenly had the biggest boobs in town. It seems like ages since any tabloid made a ruckus over yet another celeb getting breast implants, and, let’s face it, Hollywood has always had a thing for the well-endowed starlet. So, where have all the big breasts gone? Have huge chests gone out of style?
Just last week we told you about Maxi Mounds, the Long Island woman who underwent four surgeries to get 61MMM sized boobs. While her knockers are impressive and she did get in The Guinness Book Of World Records for her implants, Maxi has certainly got big competition. Heck, she’s got mosquito bites compared to the largest natural ta-tas. Just check out this round up of the most gigantic boobs in America or as we like to call them, the Grand Teetons!
Maxi Mounds, who hails from Long Island, NY, holds the Guinness World Record for “World’s Largest Augmented Breasts.” It took four surgeries for Maxi to get to her 61MMM size, according to Spike TV’s “MANswers.” She says she started “dancing” to pay for school but decided she liked being naked more than studying. She also claims that her measurements are 156MMM-26-36, but we’ll go with the more conservative breast measurement because we can’t possibly see how Maxi would be able to stand upright with 156MMM breasts. Maxi gets major attention on the web, TV, and in strip clubs, but she says the one downside to such ginormous boobs is that she can no longer sleep on her stomach. Bummer.
Have no idea what we’re talking about? Good. You haven’t been brainwashed by yet another plastic surgery trend we don’t understand: nipple surgery to change the shape, color or size of your areolae.

The global financial crises has forced every industry to get a little creative. Rather than go with the stodgy “buy one get one free” approach of many struggling industries, the Czech health care system is wooing its nurses with unusual pizazz. Like most countries around the world, the Czech Republic’s health care system is teetering on the brink of collapse, in part due to the nursing shortage. The Czech Republic is in a particular bind: Nurses are emigrating to other countries for better pay and opportunity while fewer people are training to become nurses due to the negative stereotypes left over from communism. The idea of using incentives to encourage employees to renew their contracts is hardly newsworthy. The fact that some Czech medical establishments are using incentives like free breast implants, liposuction and tummy tucks does raise my eyebrows. (Not for long, however, should I decide to become a Czech nurse and opt for a face lift or Botox.)
This weekend there was a marathon of MTV’s “True Life,” all focused on body image issues, which made for an insanely unproductive Saturday for me. On “True Life: I Hate My Small Breasts,” Shacole, 18, was extremely insecure about her 32A cup but didn’t want to get breast implants, despite the fact that her mother really, really thought she should. Shacole’s mother Nicole, who has small breasts, thought her daughter should get her “boobs” enhanced if she wanted a chance at becoming a professional cheerleader—although she was quick to emphasize that wasn’t the reason she thought her daughter should get implants. “You need them,” her mother said. Nicole even suggested that Shacole join her in posting pictures of herself on a website where donors can sponsor breast enhancement surgery for those “in need.” Obviously, Nicole was a terrible mother with no concern over shredding her daughter’s self-esteem, due in no small part to her own insecurities, which she masks in gross, faux-confident exhibitionism. Hooray for Shacole, who didn’t give into her mom’s pressure and instead dealt with her low self-esteem through meditation.
Everyone in this episode of “True Life” referred to breasts as “boobs.” Every time, the entire time. Maybe if these women saw their breasts as part of their bodies, rather than ridiculously nicknamed accessories, they’d be happier with what they have naturally.
Everyone’s still talking about Miss California’s gay marriage comments. Now there’s more drama for 21-year-old beauty queen Carrie Prejean. Apparently, there were some nice perks for her as former Miss California. The state’s pageant organization paid her bill for fake boobs.
Prejean received breast implants paid for by the Miss California Organization just weeks before she competed in the Miss USA pageant, confirmed Shanna Moakler, co-executive director of organization. Shanna told “Access Hollywood” that Carrie wanted breasts implants and the Miss California Organization “supported that decision.” Shanna, herself a former Miss USA and an ex-Playboy Playmate, added, “Breast implants in pageants is not a rarity. It’s definitely not taboo. It’s very common. Breast implants today among young women today is very common.”

The recession is to blame for everything going wrong right now—the rise in foreclosures, the increase in unemployment and the sharp decline in the number of people who want size DD breasts. Plastic surgery numbers are steadily slipping here in the U.S. Americans, who once spent $12 billion a year on cosmetic surgery, are now tightening their budget according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. There’s been a 62% decrease in plastic surgery from 2007-2008. Consumers are hesitating now more than ever before to commit to having the pricey elective procedures done. Doctors in Orange County, Calif., the silicone capital of the world, have reported a 30 to 40 percent decline in business. And breast implant manufacturer Mentor Corp.‘s sales have decreased 5 percent during the three months ending Sept. 26 compared to the same period last year. But one country isn’t experiencing a decrease in their numbers. Find out which one, after the jump.
Sure, you may know all about who in Hollywood has fake boobs, but do you know where the whole enhanced-breast trend started? After the jump, a quick history of implants, which date back to the 19th century—way before “Baywatch” was on TV.
While it’s hard to measure your boobs for a bra, it’s easy to measure a year by them. And 2008 certainly had its peaks and valleys! The economy sagged, Barack lifted us, Heidi Montag made us heave, and Tina Fey perked us up. All in all, these past 12 months have been a titacular time! So, here are The Frisky’s favorite mammary memories of 2008…

According to studies, birth control pills have no effect on libido. Guess you should look elsewhere if your sex drive has taken a detour. [Daily Bedpost]
Taking on a creative project with your honey can often spark a little romance, and this is the perfect time of year for a little creativity. [Dear Sugar]
According to a Swedish study, three cups of coffee a day will make your boobies go away. So, in Page Six magazine yesterday, I debated the dilemma with a swimwear buyer for Victoria’s Secret, Courtney Alexander. I proudly proclaimed I’d skim a little off my bra size to keep my morning pick me up. However, I felt bad for the coffee-and-A-cup-combo pictured with the article, poor lil’ Ashley Olsen. Now, there’s a rumor circulating that Ashley wants a boob job, and is trying to drag Mary Kate under the knife too. Somebody call Uncle Jesse to talk some sense to these babes!
From the strange but true files, a Colorado teen planned to kill his mother to get money so his girlfriend could get breast implants. Eighteen-year-old Nikita Lee Weis hired two other teenagers to attack his mother with a baseball bat. The mother survived the assault, and Weis and his accomplices were arrested on conspiracy to commit first-degree murder charges. It’s not yet clear if the girlfriend, Sophia Nicole Alsept, was involved.
Us Weekly finally noticed what we pointed out two weeks ago—did Ali Lohan get a boob job? Then Lindsay Lohan responded on her MySpace blog saying, “...my mother taught us to appreciate what we have been given. Nor would she ever encourage, or allow a 14-year old child to alter her body. I am not judging people that do, but I am just saying that it’s not something that my family finds necessary to do, especially when you’re not even fully developed yet!” So…no? [DListed]
Yesterday, Amelia noticed something different about Ali Lohan’s physique, so that got me thinking about how breasts, or a lack thereof, can affect a young starlet’s rise to fame. Here’s a list of celebs whose breasts have affected their careers.
Soleil Moon Frye is best known for her role as Punky in the television sitcom Punky Brewster. When she was 16, Soleil had breast reduction surgery, going from 36DD to 34C because she had back problems. But knowing our culture, I think she also wanted to be taken seriously as an actress and later as a director.
To me, Raven-Symone represents a normal body size. She has curves that are proportional to her height, and she’s one of a few thick girls catering to the preteen girl demographic. But every time I watch That’s So Raven, I wonder why her breasts and the rest of her torso are always covered because it makes her look larger than she really is. Then I realized this is a technique to make Raven, 22, look more like a teenager for her roles on that show and in The Cheetah Girls movies. But choosing to cover her curves has led to a malicious debate online: Is Raven fat or all breasts?
