Today in “Real Royal Tenenbaums News” … the internet is aflutter with the rumor that Bobbi Kristina Brown — 19-year-old daughter of the late Whitney Houston — is dating 22-year-old Nick Gordon. Gordon lived with Whitney and Bobbi Kristina from the time he was 12 (though Houston never officially adopted him) and served as an older brother figure to Bobbi Kris. Apparently, the romance rumors started when Gordon tweeted the above photo (which some suggest has, like, sexy overtones?) and referred to her in the possessive (“MY Krissi”). Then he responded to the rumors, writing on Twitter, “Yea we got a little closer and what!!!!” never denying that the two are an item and retweeting those who defended the (alleged) romance. So, while it’s not a direct confirmation, it’s not a denial either.  So, yeah… [Twitter via Crushable]

  • TMZ and Us Weekly are both reporting that the results of Whitney Houston’s autopsy have revealed that the singer actually died from a deadly combination of alcohol and Xanax. Their sources say the coroner’s report found that though there was water in Houston’s lungs — she was found in her hotel room bathtub — it wasn’t enough to cause her to drown and that it’s more likely that she died before her head became submerged. Of course, the coroner’s report has not been officially released, and an official cause of death won’t be concluded until the toxicology report comes back in a few weeks. Houston’s body has been flown to Atlanta at the request of her mother, Cissy Houston, but funeral details have not been released. [TMZ, Us Weekly]
  • Oprah OWN Network is going to rebroadcast her 2009 interview with Houston during a two-hour tribute on Thursday night. [The Hollywood Reporter]

More upsetting news: TMZ is reporting that Whitney Houston’s daughter Bobbi Kristina, 18, was rushed from the Beverly Hilton Hotel — where her mother passed away yesterday — to the hospital today. No word on why or what her possible condition is. Last night, Bobbi Kristina allegedly got into a shouting match with law enforcement because they wouldn’t let her inside her mother’s room. [TMZ, Popdust]

According to Us Weekly, the grieving young woman is being treated for “stress,” and was taken from the hotel on a stretcher (though I believe that is standard procedure when an ambulance is called).  [Us Weekly]

Our thoughts and prayers are with Houston’s only child, and we hope that her family and friends are focused on giving her the support she needs.
