Reason #3,091 that Michelle Obama is awesome: she kicks ass in a potato sack race! The First Lady invited Jimmy Fallon to the White House to film a “Late Night” segment about her Let’s Move campaign, which in addition to inspiring kids to exercise also gets celebs doing cute things while breaking a sweat. Jimmy needs some help in the push-up department, but at least Bo still gave him some congratulatory licks on the face. [Hulu]
Sarah Palin has a beef with the presidential Christmas card: a simple portrait of the Obamas’ dog Bo by the fireplace with the line “From our family to yours, may your holidays shine with the light of the season.” The puppy-pooh-poohing politico told Fox News it is “odd” that the Obamas’ card depicts Bo instead of “family, faith and freedom” — which is what all of us are aiming for when we take our holiday pics at GlamourShots, amirite? Palin also said (yes, she kept talking) that Americans can appreciate “American foundational values illustrated and displayed on Christmas cards and on a Christmas tree,” so why can’t the First Family? I’m pretty sure her rant is supposed to translate to “Muslim Muslim Muslim Muslim Muslim COMMUNIST.”

After the election, toy company Ty started selling dolls named for first daughters Sasha and Malia. Then they got in trouble because Michelle Obama didn’t want her kids used for profit. Now, we wonder how she’ll feel about Ty using the family dog, Bo. The company introduced a black and white beanie baby dog named Bo two days after the real Bo arrived at the White House. They’re selling out at stores around the country, and a portion of the profits goes to local animal shelters. Some eBay sellers are asking as much as $139.95 for the toy Bo.
