Too much for my ovaries to handle, I mean. And that infinity pool? Not a bad life you lead, Blue. Not bad at all. [via I Am Beyonce]
Jigga what? The Brooklyn-born rapper-turned-multimedia mogul, looking characteristically cleaned-up in a stark white suit, will line November newsstands on the cover of Vanity Fair. Jay Z has always given good interview, but a VF cover story is another matter entirely … and if the excerpts from the piece are any indication, Young Hov delivers. The conversation runs the gamut from his years spent slinging drugs as a Bed-Stuy teenager (and the surprising way in which that experience serves to benefit him now), wooing Beyoncé, the Blue Ivy surrogacy rumors, and, perhaps most importantly of all, whether Blue prefers his music or Bey’s. Some quotes from the interview, after the jump! Keep reading »
Beyonce spent the weekend entertaining fans — including our girl Megan — at hubby Jay Z’s Made In America Festival in Philadelphia, then immediately jetted off to Ibiza for a little rest and relaxation. Here she is boarding a yacht with baby Blue Ivy, wearing what I assume is the bottom half of her performing outfit. Girl, get yourself some Havaianas! [Photos: Fame/Flynet]
Aww, just look at these adorable little sneakers that might be gracing Blue Ivy Carter’s tiny baby feet right now. Luxury shoe designer Ruthie Davis posted a pic of these suede high tops she bedazzled with purple crystals on her Facebook with the message “Pssssst! Take a look at the Baby Ruthie’s I made especially for Beyonce and Jay-Z’s daughter Blue Ivy… SO Sweet, right?” Where might Blue Ivy wear these rhinestone-studded sneaks? St. Tropez yacht? The Kardashian-West nuptials? [Coco Perez]
Baby’s first yacht vacay! Jay-Z and Beyonce’s infant daughter Blue Ivy enjoyed her first sail on the high seas — okay, they were on the Mediterranean Sea off the South of France, but still. Tres tres chic!
I’m going to put aside being annoyed with Beyonce and Jay-Z for releasing photos of their daughter Blue Ivy after the work week has ended because bloggers never sleep. Because look at that face. Blue Ivy Carter is gorgeous. I love the fact that Jay and Beyonce did not sell photos of their newborn child, that they released them personally via a small Tumblr blog, thanking the public for respecting their privacy “during this beautiful time in our lives.” I love that Blue Ivy is simply swaddled in a blanket, not adorned with some ridiculous headband, and, in the rest of the photos that you’ll see as you click through, just basking in the love of her parents. Blue, in my opinion, looks just like Beyonce, but her eyes are all Jay. Maybe I’m hormonal, but I’m getting a little teary writing this. Yay, babies!
If there’s any universally flattering color, it’s blue. There’s a shade to match anyone’s coloring and, done right, a really bright blue looks good on everyone. It sounds perilous, especially for those who don’t typically sport neon colors, but why not integrate a flashy cyan by confining it to a truly risk-free area like, say, your nails? Regardless of what you wear, even (and especially) if it’s your most buttoned-up work attire, bright blue nails are a wink to your more daring side. Take it from Beyoncé, who’s been wearing the shade out and about in a nod to her daughter, Blue Ivy. See, there must be something to it! These are my five picks for the boldest blues — what’s your favorite? If one catches your eye, I’ve included the purchasing information after the jump. Keep reading »
