“I’ve never planned a wedding in four weeks, so I think short of putting Dixie cups on the table, we did a fabulous job. I was very pleased with it and I think viewers have seen all the hard work and now they’re going to see the pay-off. … I called [the Four Seasons] 20 times a day and literally was begging them. How we got it, I still to this day am not sure how or why they said yes. They did, that’s all I care about. After that, I was like, ‘Fine. The world could crumble down around me. I could care less. I got her venue.’ … For all the times that Bethenny threatened me, Cookie, her dog, took the action.”

Tonight is the big night on “Bethenny Getting Married?
” Yes, we want to see how the wedding unfolds, which housewives are invited, and what they’re wearing. But what we really, really want to see is the scene we’ve been looking forward to all season—when Bethenny
pees in a bucket in her wedding dress. “How many minutes from now until I can pee?” she asks her wedding planner. “Maybe 35 minutes,” he responds. Bethenny freaks. “The baby’s head is on my bladder,” she says. “The bathroom is exactly where the guests are. In order for me to pee, I have to walk through my guests in my wedding dress. I can’t walk through the guests, ‘Hey everyone, just stepping to the loo.’ Let me just lift my leg and then walk down the aisle.” The solution? Watch it above. I would’ve driven the girl to the nearest fast food restaurant or bar, but hey, that’s just me. Keep reading »
Alex McCord was by far my favorite NYC housewife this year because she finally stopped holding in her anger and let people know exactly what she thought of them. The main target on the receiving end of Alex’s wrath was a very deserving Jill Zarin. We had a little hint of Alex calling Jill out during the season, but even I could feel Alex’s frustration at Jill’s annoying and defensive arguing. On the reunion tonight at 9 p.m., though, it seems Alex has practiced exactly what she wants to say to the hawker of fabrics and gossip. Check out the video above for a little taste of their word battle and peep Bethenny Frankel reaming Kelly Bensimon after the jump. And is it just me or does it look as if another Kelly personality is about to come out when the clip ends? Keep reading »
Tonight brings the premiere of Bethenny Frankel‘s new show, “Bethenny Getting Married?” on Bravo. Bethenny has been my favorite of the “Real Housewives of New York City,” in part because I adore her wry sense of humor, but also because I so related to her struggle with dudes during the first two seasons of the show. Bethenny was the kind of girl who wasn’t sure she would find love—heck, the title of her new show has a question mark in it, stressing just how little Bethenny expected marriage for herself. But, interestingly, she revealed this week that when we see her walk down the aisle in the series, it isn’t for the first time. Apparently, Bethenny was married before and just never identified on the show as a divorcee. Keep reading »
They say that as a celeb you can never be too rich or too thin … unless you are “Real Housewife” Bethenny Frankel and you’re already amazing skinny less than a month after giving birth. OK, let’s do the math here. She had her baby girl, Bryn, on May 8 and as of today, June 3, she has already lost 30 pounds of the 35 she gained during pregnancy. OK, that’s insane. Her dramatic post-baby slim down is not going over well with some mothers. They are complaining that Bethenny (and Gisele Bundchen and Heidi Klum) is setting unreal expectations for new mothers who don’t have a personal trainer or care to stick to a Skinny Girl regime. Frankel has attributed her dramatic weight loss to “doctor advised diet and exercise.” Keep reading »
I loved the first two seasons of “The Real Housewives of New York City.” While the ladies’ beefs in seasons past were petty, this year’s feuds are more, “Really—you have more than three words to say about this microscopic thing?” The most disappointing part for me is Bethenny and Jill. In the past two seasons, they were best of friends and my two favorite characters on the show because they were at least 10 degrees less crazy than the rest of the women. But this season, they’re in a huge fight. Jill is furious Bethenny checked out on their friendship over the summer, while Bobby was sick, and left her a message telling her to, “Get a hobby.” Meanwhile, Bethenny is convinced that Jill is just jealous that she now has a great new husband. If they’d sit down for 15 minutes, they could both apologize and resolve the whole thing. Instead, they’re avoiding each other, creating a ton of tension, and showing outrageous levels of self-absorption in the process.
But their feud reached a fever pitch this weekend, when Bethenny had her baby. Keep reading »
