Can we just utter a lil’ sigh? What’s got us most psyched about this year’s Oscars is Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova being nominated for Best Original Song for “Falling Slowly”, one of the tunes they penned for Once, a movie they also starred in. The two are together in real life and were handpicked for the roles in the movie, about an Irish musician (Hansard) who makes an album with a Czech women (Irglova) he meets in Dublin. The film is overwhelmingly romantic, without having the slightest bit of sex or even kissing in it. And the soundtrack is amazing. Here’s Hansard and Irglova posing together for an Oscar portrait.
