Rihanna was spotted getting rather cozy with Wilmer Valderama at Geisha House in Hollywood, where the former “That ‘70s Show” star hosts a weekly karaoke night. Wilmer doesn’t have the best track record on the Hollywood dating scene. He has dated Lindsay Lohan, Mandy Moore, Jennifer Love Hewitt, and Ashlee Simpson. And in March 2006 Wilmer went on “The Howard Stern Show” to kiss and tell about his widely publicized relationships. Classy! At this point, anyone is better for Rihanna than Chris Brown, but Wilmer Valderama, really? She can do so much better.

More attention is paid when a famous couple calls it quits than when they tie the knot.  How come?  Because they’re more interesting duh!  While breakups are sad, there’s something about famous people that makes the 50 times more dramatic.  Perhaps it’s the various media outlets they trash talk to, the rumors surrounding them, or just the fact that everyone knows about it.  Here are our top ten splits in ’08.

Benji Madden from Good Charlotte is a goody-goody next to wild child, Paris Hilton.  Although they are supposedly “still in love,” they broke up due to lifestyle differences. She thought tattoos and a boy in the band would get her into the rock’ n’ roll lifestyle, but she picked a guy from a band loved by 13-year-olds. So, because her idea of a good time backstage is not getting a sugar high from pixie sticks, Paris decided to move on up and find a real tough guy, not just one who looks the part. Needless to say, Paris has gotta be a little wiser if she wants to live on the edge. She’s clearly going to need some help, especially since she’s also hunting for a new BFF. Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie will not be having a double wedding, even though that would make best use of the paparazzi’s time. Paris told E!, “I think we both would want to have separate weddings,” but she loves being part of the foursome. And her BF Benji Madden is getting all sentimental and sappy: “I’m so beyond happy. Paris is my best friend. I’ve never been so happy. Nothing worries me in life anymore. When you find that best friend, that love, all your worries kind of go away. Your work gets better and everything you do, you have someone supporting you, and she’s that for me.” I feel overwhelmed with love. [AHN]

At last night’s MTV Movie Awards, there were lots of bad clothes. Personally, I think Ellen Page (winner of Best Female Performance) dressed quite appropriately for the event, wearing jeans and sneakers. Fancy dresses are not what the MTV Movie Awards should be about, especially if they’re short dresses. As Lindsay Lohan discovered, wearing a short dress while sitting in a movie theater means showing more leg than you may have planned. [MTV]
