Today’s Lady News: Beauty Queen’s Fake Boobs So Heavy She Falls Over

iStockphoto
  • A hopeful beauty queen for the Miss Plastic Hungary pageant (only for silicone-laden beauties!) fell over onstage and tore a ligament in her foot, allegedly under the weight of her new boobs. A friend told a newspaper, “She had not got used to the extra weight on top and her new hair extensions got in her eyes—she just lost her balance.” [News.com.au]
  • Pro-life extremists have taken to eBay to sell their “memorabilia”—a cookbook compiled by a woman in prison for abortion clinic bombings and arson, anyone?—to raise money for the defense of Scott Roeder, the man charged with murdering late-term abortion provider Dr. George Tiller. Other items include artwork by Roeder, an autographed bullhorn, and a pro-life manual by the extremist group, Army of God. EBay has not revealed whether it will allow November 1st auction to be held. Miss California Pageant Sues Carrie Prejean Over Boob Job

    carrie prejean

Another week, another Carrie Prejean eyeroll-worthy drama. The latest dirt? Our beloved ex-Miss California still owes $5,200 for a boob job paid for by pageant organizer K2 Productions, according to a lawsuit filed yesterday. K2 said it foot the bill for plastic surgery at Prejean’s behest, so she could “be more competitive” in the 2009 Miss USA pageant, and she hasn’t honored a verbal agreement to pay them back. (Verbal agreement? Get it in writing, people!)

Miss California Pageant Takes Off The Swimsuits

    Miss California pageant

Beauty queens in next month’s Miss California Pageant (where everyone’s favorite homophobe, Carrie Prejean, got her start!) won’t strut down the runway in bikinis, but will instead model individual outfits. Sashes will also be eliminated and two winners will be crowned, instead of the usual one. ““This year’s event will be bigger and reflect the progressive attitudes of the contestants as well as our forward-looking state,” said Keith Lewis, executive director of the Miss California Organization. “It will change the essence of Miss California USA from a bathing suit beauty contest to the style of a runway show during fashion week.” Well, that’s not quite the same as ditching the high-heels-and-bikinis parade because it objectifies women’s bodies and applauds an ideal woman’s shape that most of us can never achieve. But, hey, we’ll take what we can get! You can probably still count on false eyelashes, clouds of hairspray and fake boobies, though. [NY Daily News, L.A. Times]

Today’s Lady News: Don’t Hate Carrie Prejean Because She’s Beautiful, Says Trump

  • Last night on “Letterman,” Donald Trump shared his cockamamie theory that America hates beauty queen Carrie Prejean, who tussled with Perez Hilton over gay marriage, simply because she is so pretty! [Gawker]—Right. We don’t hate the Miss America runner-up because she’s a bigot. We’re just jealous of those fake boobs that the Miss California Organization paid for!

Anorexic And Bulimic Woman Says Beauty Pageant Changed Her Life For The Better

    beauty pageant

You know those articles where a woman writes that something that’s generally considered to be shady is really friggin’ fantastic? Yeah, us Frisky ladies tend to be skeptical. Maybe being a mail-order bride really did turn out well for that woman featured in Marie Claire last month! But don’t kid yourself that you’re not an exception to the rule.

We’ve got similar “meh” feelings for the way Terri Graham, a member of More.com’s reader community, confronted her anorexia, bulimia and body dysmorphic disorder: competing in “countless” beauty pageants and strutting across the stage in a swimsuit and heels caused Graham to stop hating her body. Thank Heaven For Little Girls—And The Perverted Brits Who Love Them

    Miss Teen Queen UK Pageant

    Sasha is a 34A. Kayla’s a 32C. Kristi’s a 32D.

Sasha, Kayla and Kristi are ages 13, 14 and 16, respectively. And they’re all vying for the title Miss Teen Queen U.K.

Miss Teen Queen U.K. is a “Hot Or Not”-style online beauty pageant which some are criticizing for it’s Lolita-esque practices. The teen girls’ bra sizes are posted up on the pageant site along with their shoe and dress sizes, plus some pictures that often look straight out of a Maxim photo shoot. For example, 14-year-old Rebecca lies on her back, wearing a short black dress and dark nail polish, high heeled legs up against the wall, gazing into the camera. We feel icky just looking at her.

Pageant Organization Paid For Miss California’s Boobs

Miss California Carrie Prejean's Boobs Were Paid For By A Pageant Organization

Everyone’s still talking about Miss California’s gay marriage comments. Now there’s more drama for 21-year-old beauty queen Carrie Prejean. Apparently, there were some nice perks for her as former Miss California. The state’s pageant organization paid her bill for fake boobs.

Prejean received breast implants paid for by the Miss California Organization just weeks before she competed in the Miss USA pageant, confirmed Shanna Moakler, co-executive director of organization. Shanna told “Access Hollywood” that Carrie wanted breasts implants and the Miss California Organization “supported that decision.” Shanna, herself a former Miss USA and an ex-Playboy Playmate, added, “Breast implants in pageants is not a rarity. It’s definitely not taboo. It’s very common. Breast implants today among young women today is very common.”

    Fit For A Queen

There’s a new queen in England, and she’s got more poise than Her Majesty and more cleavage than Elton John. It’s 17-year-old, size 16 beauty queen Chloe Marshall! She’ll be strutting her stuff in the Miss England Pageant in July, but she’s already become a media darling. “What I am promoting is a healthy girl who looks after herself and doesn’t try to force her body to be something its not,” Chloe told Hello Magazine, which was excited to get her to slip into something less comfortable—the white rhinestone bikini she’ll be confidently wearing in the competition. Proudly flying in the face of skinny minnie pageant girls like the tragically dumb blonde Miss Teen South Carolina,  Chloe is a refreshingly smart spokesmodel who is bravely going where no plus-size girl has gone before. This pretty warrior princess couldn’t be happier to show off her ambition. “It’s what I was born to do – posing for the camera. And as I keep saying, I love my body. People seem desperate to get me to say that I don’t, that deep down I’m not happy and would rather be thin, but the fact is I wouldn’t change myself at all.” We wouldn’t change a thing either, hot stuff! Beauty Pageant Behind Bars

Being sent to the bleak women’s prison UF-91/9 in Siberia doesn’t exactly sound as elegant as Martha Stewart’s Camp Cupcake. But once a year, at their annual “Miss Spring” Beauty Pageant, the women put on more girlie trimmings than even one of the TV homemaker’s creations. What started with a dress made from scraps of kitchen trash bags has become a glamorous fashion show with a few outfits per contestant. At this female-run pageant you won’t find a swimsuit competition, but there are three creative categories based on Greek myths, flowers, and futuristic prison uniforms.  The convicted, uh, cuties, who are serving time for everything from possession of narcotics to murder, compete for the title, which comes with quite a prize: a chance at early parole.  But win or lose, there are fringe benefits for everyone since the local TV channel and the BBC air the Miss Gulag Pageant to showcase the prisoners during prime time.
